Video: Black Thought Talks Solo LP The Talented Mr. Trotter
During this interview with Uber Urban, Thought catches us up on a few side projects he has in the works. He says he’s trying to get into fashion design and has a collab with Creative Recreation on deck, plus he’s working on an autobiography with Jeff Chang and Maori Karmael Holmes. Finally, he says he’s still working on his solo project, which is tentatively titled The Talented Mr. Trotter. Interestingly enough, he describes it as a Blues album and says he’ll be singing on it. He also revealed plans to work with Tunde Adebimpe from TV on the Radio and Jim James from My Morning Jacket.

How were things suppose to turn out for Dame, if you put your whole fortune into a boxer and yall became friends, then he decides to end yall relationship over a female and pull rank cause he’s ugly and in a position of power.
What other outcome is it for you financially. I’ve dealt with this on a small level in my personal life. THOUSANDS of dollars were spent, man hours, swallowing my pride for the sake of the squad only to have some geek with a complex walk away with everything because I trusted him to be real.
Of course when the average person is on the outside looking in they’re like “Hov” is winning, Dame’s a leech.
People don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, legal fees, tour organizing, beef on the streets, beef with corporations. Dame FOUGHT for Jay-Z to be where he is…burned EVERY bridge because he believe it would be Dame, Biggs and Hov from start to end.
I feel bad for Dame, this is over Aaliyah (trust me)… then you say some fuck shit like “make another Hov”.
SMH @ Hov
