    – Protestants are no longer the majority population wise

    ^^^

I’m calling BS. Pretty safe assumption that Protestants outnumber catholics, non-religion affiliated, Muslims and jews. Which ever, it doesn’t matter because the president not being a protestant doesn’t mean the WASPs have wanning influence.

    – THere is no Protestant in the Supreme Court

    ^^^

    Roberts
    Kennedy
    Thomas
    Ginsburg
    Breyer

    – There is no Protestant on the Republican Ticket

    ^^^

    GOP been fell off tho…

    Ben Bernanke ?

Chairman of the Federal Reserve ?

I’m not even gonna say his religion cus you can guess at this point

For the first time in its history, the United States does not have a Protestant majority, according to a new study. One reason: The number of Americans with no religious affiliation is on the rise.

The percentage of Protestant adults in the U.S. has reached a low of 48 percent, the first time the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life has reported with certainty that the number has fallen below 50 percent. The drop has long been anticipated and comes at a time when no Protestants are on the U.S. Supreme Court and the Republicans have their first presidential ticket with no Protestant nominees.

I’m arguing that the religion of the president is not an indicator of Protestant power.

The president not being protestant just implies that his religion isn’t a big deal to Americans.

Take a survey of the power holders that run the world. Most of them are white. A few of those whites maybe catholics.

I broader point I’m trying to highlight is that being white is the bigger issue tho.

    Religion not so much.

Presidents, Heads of Banks, Federal Reserve Chairmen

I guess they all don’t matter

And don’t try to turn this into an argument of if white people run shit

That’s foolish – up any comment where I even came close to insinuating they did

    Jderrida,

    Go take a history course

It hasnt’ always been that way

No shots but this is turning from a debate to a teaching sesh

Before Kennedy, you HAD to be Protestant to be President

Drop but 48% may still be the majority.

I concede the no protestants are the SC. Wow didn’t know that.

I just don’t see how the religion of the GOP candidates or SC members is a indicator of protestant power.

I would argue more often than not those positions are assign to people because of popularity and imagine.

Also got to remember WASPs assigns those people to the SC and help finance Romney’s campaign.

A majority is a subset of a set consisting of more than half of the set’s elements

    You mean largest group

The President chooses the Supreme Court nominees

I’m sure you’ll say that it’s some powerful WASPs that tell him who to pick but I would disagree

The President is a powerful position, most other than you would say the most powerful

If the President doesn’t mean anything why is Donald Trump willing to put $5 Million to embarrass him ?

Why are bilionaire donating millions to change him ?

To say the President isn’t powerful symbolically and in actuality borders on absurdity

    Thats my broader point.

Catholics and to a lesser extent Jews have made become sorta white washed.

The taboos about them no longer offend or scare whites and so they’ve had an easier time entering to the white power base (Need a different term).

I think what your saying is Protestants no longer have control over certain things they once had. I’m saying they still have control and just don’t mind that Jews and Catholics are now in certain positions.

There is no WASP Illuminati group running stuff

If you were a conspiracy theorist you should ahve told me in the beginning

Protestants didn’t ” allow ” Kennedy to be President, he was voted in

    Same with Obama

Blakenfien isn’t allowed to be CEO, he does a damn good job that’s why he’s there

    Same with Bernake

It seems you have a distorted view of the world

    Majority = Largest Group?

The president is a powerful postions. But history has proven that Non-Protestant and non-white Presidents curtail to the agenda of WASP America…

  19. Captain Planet Says:

Protestant power has diminished due to population growth, Jewish x Catholic industriousness

Protestants did not ” allow ” this to happen, it happened to them

They can keep their country clubs closed all they want

Nope, over 50% – look it up.

Protestants voted Kennedy and Obama in. I doubt they could have won without them…

Protestants managers promoted Blakenfien to a position were he could become CEO…

You don’t think WASP have institutions and groups that cater to them?

    I do.

There called the United States Government, Universities, alumni networks and many other things.

    Stay Close.

    Obama underperforms in white males

Romney might win more white males this time around and Obama will still win

You make it sound like it’s some overarching power structure

You may believe that but you have to prove that

I’ve shown you multiple examples of how Protestant power has dwindled

    Where are yours ?
