guess its different when your coming str8 out the air force lol because people get out and come right back as contractors and civilian equivalent the next day.

^It is. And a military man returning to the military is him utilizing his previous skill set: the MILITARY.

    And S.I.C.K.,

A communications degree is not a good degree. It lacks focus, entails nothing and will keep you in the unemployment line. And under the median wage to stay afloat in a growing US economy.

    ^^

Cosign. Very few lucky enough to make that work.

It’s too generic and over saturated.

Know a bunch of folks barely making it with that degree.

    I got you Free.

Computer Science is a different field though.

Leaps and bounds different. And if you return to the military with that said degree, likely, you won’t be using that but you’ll be taking classes funded by them to do tasks different from what that piece of paper required.

Not true. A lot of these “experienced” IT dudes falling behind with the new mobile realm.

Mobile apps and mobile web development is where the money is.

  12. cOLD Says:

most IT and networking jobs are being routed to other countries.

The irony in that, is it wouldnt be possible without the high bandwidth networks implemented by skilled americans.

There are a lot of Overseas developers but they are mostly workers. They lack the creativity that a lot of Americans have in IT to be leaders.

^Washington, NC, and TX got the game on smash for IT/mobile development right now. They literally are not playing fair. Signing bonuses, high salary marks (lvl 12+), commission, and Athena’s snatch.

Many gaming and computer geeks are making the pilgrimage to these destinations.

^ I can agree with that… to an extent. the mobile entity is just begining to pop off… But I more so talking about the networks, the backbone which they ride on.
