They had a classic west coast rap block on MTV Jams over the weekend, had some CMW, Dru Down and E-40 videos…
there wasn’t but 2 females in all 3 videos, but mad dudes. Lots of testosterone…this was pre-video vixen days…just a bunch of dudes in dickies stunting for the camera.

Danny Brown is teetering on a weird edge…dude is so talented but he engages in too much fuckery, it works to get him a certain type of fan…but kinda alienates a whole bunch of other people.
I think money is like #6 on his priority list behind Music, touring, bitches, partying and drugs.

The one vid in particular was Dru Down’s “Can You Feel Me”…
I hadn’t heard that shit in over a decade, brought back crazy memories…but that vid had nothing but dudes, which is cool if it follows the story of the video.
Just made me think about how formulatic videos have gotten over the past 10 or 15 years…there are so obligatory elements that are in every video nowadays, it was refreshing to just see some old low budget shit.
