Prodigy’s New Book Will Detail Prison Stay

Speaking to XXL, P revealed that the follow up to his controversial autobiography will be “entirely about my experience in jail”:

“It’s basically my experience—day by day—like a diary joint, type of thing,” he continued. “You know, what was going on in there, what I experienced in there and what I took out of it. Just the whole story. Only a few people will know what that’s like, the people I met and how the COs (correction officers) were, just different things like that.”

Considering the shit storm his last book caused, it should be interesting to see what happens when P starts spinning his yarns about niggas in the penal system. You already know there’s gonna be a video rebuttal from some inmate, surreptitiously recorded on the VI, objecting to P’s version of events during his stint in the clink.

There isn’t any balance whatsoever anymore, you’re either full on simping and tricking on record, and/or talking about just ridiculous outlandish fictitious shit

    ^

Who decides the balance tho ?

    The fans

And if the people making the community uplifting records ain’t coming with it then it’s not our duty to listen to it

Saigon is an idiot, we don’t listen ONLY because you’re talking about real shit …

If we’re talking mainstream music, FM radio, video play, you’d be stupid not to admit that their are definitely decision-makers regarding what you end up hearing for the most part.

I don’t really have to say much else if you disagree.

    ^

    I agree with that 1000%

The point I’m making is that nothing but that party shit gets a chance on radio where I’m from. Hip-hop has been kinda fazed out for all that techno type shit.

There’s a time and place for everything…I hardly ever turn on the radio, but it’s crazy to me to turn the radio on at 9am and they’re playing 120 BPM shit like it’s Friday night. Something a little slower, something that’s saying a little something, could def. get a little shine throughout the day.

Most people are easily influenced, I know a lot of people who don’t actually like music until they’ve heard it on the radio multiple times.

Other shit used to get a little shine here and there, but those days are long gone.

Everyone has their lot. I feel like Sai is tight that his lot and position isn’t as revered as Ross’ is. But that doesn’t make him or his music less important. Those that need to hear his message will hear it and move accordingly.

  116. Black Says:

Saigon just sound mad that he broke

    ^^^^^^^^

Pretty much. Pointing at one nigga made his point irrelevant to me. If you got a problem with the system just say that. All that “why y’all like him and not me” shit makes you look like a true bayer.

  117. JDS of the Cobra Kai Dojo Says:

It’s mostly been boiled down to glittery background music for the conceited and self-centered.

    ^

I listen to a lot of Hip-hop, but I don’t think I fall in either.

You guys starting to sound like Saigon now, dissing the same people who spose to share your taste

Go listen to techno then we won’t miss yall

But when Hip-Hop comes back we’ll remember who gave up on it. Real Shit.

    ^^

CP, shut the fuck up, please.

I said “mostly” for one… and my point wasn’t that I gave up on Hip-Hop.

The tomfoolery and shitty music is just the symptom. The fact that niggas don’t care about a culture they own is the sickness. We feel entitled to it because it’s out music but we don’t contribute shit to it. That’s why them Japanese and kizzas across the pond are keeping it alive now.

Like Rex said, it all comes down to balance. But most niggas only rock with one side and not any of the others.

  118. Jersey*Made*me Says:

    @Chase

You’re stating the obvious and you’re not wrong, but what’s the good in having a platform and fucking it off,as a black man in America?

I just don’t think we as a race have come that far to squander the opportunity to say something meaningful when we have the floor.

    But like I said,I don’t give a fuck…not as much as I once did.

We have too many dumb ass weak niggas that don’t stand for shit running around here just going along to get along.

I’m just trying to maintain mine,I agree 100% with Saigon though…

  119. Bricktop Says:

If I’m coaching and a nigga tells me he gonna drop 41 in a Playoff closeout game

I don’t care if he show up dressed like Prince

That’s was Phil’s perspective on dealing with Rodman.
