My argument is not female based. I can say the same for that Fuck shit album WTT. Here we have two dudes who are wealthy beyond… And can afford the ability to be artistic and purely hip hop driven. But instead there albums are formulated on the potential return. In a sense they ain’t giving the culture shit only taking a way. They could change the game back to what it was built on. Sincere dialog aimed at their people. White folk will jump on regardless even though they don’t understand the subtext or message within. Give the people real beats real intent and real fucking hip hop.

  4. AmpGeez a.k.a. Amphernee Hardaway Says:

Co-sign everything cOLD said in regards to WTT.]

It just doesn’t fit the Camel’s personality to focus on things outside of himself, especially something that could potentially lower/tarnish his standing in the eyes of corporate America.

  5. cOLD Says:

And I do understand the game has changed. That doesn’t mean it’s for the better. What do YOU do when you make a wrong turn?

Your question will likely be: but whos to say its a wrong turn or a change for the worst?

To which I’d reply. Like at the youth b. they.are.fucked

i totally agree. i was having this convo with my old man the other day. ultimately black america’s 1% are almost all in the entertainment industry – sports, music, hollywood. they have the ears of black youth more than anyone else but they dont say shit, they don’t speak on shit cause the realer they get the more money their money slows up. camel is the poster boy for that shit, him and diddy. they make all these power moves acquire a shit load of knowledge. then get on wax and talk about bullshit.

but russel simmons said it best when he was on orpah. more or less that hip hop is an honest reflection of america. and america right now is about pure unrepentant capitalism.

There were some sublims on there at The Powers That Be, but nothing too offensive to any one who matters. That was the forum for them to really make a statement but they chose to chop up a Maybach & ride around with beige bitches.

getting niggas to vote dont impress me. all these rich niggas have foundations as write-offs and for PR. i’m talking more about what you talkin bout when then mic is in your face, when ppl are paying attention to you.

and murder to excellence? c’mon man. niggas is still impressed by rappers talking about MLK and malcolm x? that track was terrible and transparent.

i’m talking about niggas like david banner and killer mike. dudes who speak on and rap on some real shit routinely. who are eager to speak on issues whenever, wherever.

i’m just saying dudes could do more. i really had high hopes for Ye. college dropout and late registration had a lot of strong content. even that george bush shit. he was fearless. that fame caught up with him.
