Ill give it to Sean.He has a few gold singles.A$$ double plat, and probrably a gold album in a month or two,but his whole style seems derivative. He had a spark when he started.

  11. rex hussla Says:

Bay Area rap from the mid to late 90’s was about 15 years ahead of it’s time…but most of those dudes could actually rap though

They did a lot of collabs/compilations with the South when LA and NY dominated the whole scene, so they said fuck it and did it independent. South took the ball and ran with it, and never looked back. Lots of the slang and subjects in all rap originated in the Bay, and that’s a FACT. Nore’s first album blatantly had E-40’s slang all over it.

The term “hater” (for better or worse) is from the Bay. Rapping about haters, balling and getting it cracking in the club was all Bay Area.

Hyphy was they’re first real movement that went national, and the vets co-signed it to get the Bay it’s overdue exposure…but that was almost a gimmick when you look back on it.

  20. rex hussla Says:

That’s why I thought that Drake/Wayne “The Motto” video was kinda sad, I know the track had a hyphy vibe to it…but they basically let Drake come in, do a half-ass impression of their whole style and let him make bank off of it as long as they got to be in the video.

  21. E aka Mac with the Cheese Says:

that Trey dude really does look giddy gripping up on that chick

  22. hood trill stunting aka trap day man Says:

    ———–

9th did have the basic drum patterns, but his sample choices for his beats were always mad clever… he was a master crate digger when Lil brother first popped off..

  24. Stot Says:

    Bert or Ernie?!?

    Eddie Wins-low or Urkel?!?

    Which one are you Land???
