    I met so many people at that shop. A young Kanye, comm, Sparkle, Twista, Shawna, B.B. king, Heather Headly, and a shit loads of has beens, greats, and just getting started-ers.

    Get times forreal forreal.

  10. JJ Evans Says:

    David Banner it’s because of the blogs YOU’RE against that the culture has grown to where is at today. If not it’d be dead BITCH. Dudes don’t appreciate the positive but focus on the negative.

    grown men still excited about some jordans??

    Smh….those concords are ugly and juvenile..
    ===============================

    co-ugly concords. Most Jordans look like shit though. If it ain’t black & white, red, or grey, I don’t fuck with it.

    ^

    *blank stare*

    Concords ARE black and white, smh.

    The fact these dumb niggas and kizzas is spazzing over a GR tho is saddening, and Jordan Brand needs to kill themselves for not being willing to meet demand for a shoe that they iced for over 10 years, knowing that people have consistantly voted for that colorway to be released for YEARS.

    smh.

    @JJ- If you haven’t heard the entire DB interview, STFU. Plus, if you actually think Hip-Hop, a culture that survived for YEARS and decades WITHOUT blogs would be dead without a blog, then kill yourself.

    Smarten up niggas.

    *daps tho*

    See Nation, this is why u fucked up not posting the whole interview….takes what Banner is saying out of context & kinda proves him right

    Then ppl just run with the bullshit

  13. Troubleshooter1900 Says:

    Jordan does that intentionally.

    And they KNOW black youth literally KILL each other over them shoes with limited availability.

    The reason I stopped fuckin with Jordan at 16. Shit is set up backwards.

  14. Harlem World Says:

    If people would just ignore her then she’d go away. It’s clear shes suffered some sort of abuse in the past (sexual/physical/drug etc) and she just craves attention.

    But most of these so called tastemakers are just tryna get paid, so the culture been for sale.

    Chill Loso got like 3 more summer smashes (songs) (II) on his resume

  16. Harlem World Says:

    Re: David Banner on blogs

    If an artist is at first just on blogs, no videos or songs in rotation, it makes them look authentic – i.e ASAP Rocky is sort of like that artist that only the “cool people” think they know about, then when the time is right for them to support a bigger artist on tour, or to go mainstream they have a fairly decent fanbase behind them.

    Happened to Wiz (sort of) , Wale, Drake, J Cole imo.

  17. JJ Evans Says:

    @Jihad

    First of all I never said it would be dead so don’t put words in my text or content. What I DID say is that it wouldn’t have grown period. And to put it more in context blogs are the new radio so we the commentators and blog folks help it whether it’s negative news or not.

    Yes some folks do use hip hop (that are not part of the culture) to make money out of it but they ARE still promoting is regardless (Star and Buc for example).

  18. Harlem World Says:

    The logo is trash and the site looks outdated. Rapradar and 2DB are winning right now.

    ===================
    Ouch.

  19. JJ Evans Says:

    @nation

    Since everyone is saying look at all the parts (which is I didn’t about obviously). I’ll go ahead and do that now.

    BTW, Nahright fell off and is falling off period. Sorry guys, but niggas need to put all 3 parts as I only watched the third part as folks are saying here.

    The logo is trash and the site looks outdated. Rapradar and 2DB are winning right now.

    cosign all that shit TS said. take it from someone who sold them patent leather J’s the first time around in h.s., the “shortage” isn’t accidental or coincidental in the least. simple supply & demand fuckery. shorten the supply to increase the demand has been Jordan’s M.O. since the mid-eighties.

    I don’t have a horse in this race homie,but to say Star and Buc aint a part of the culture you clearly dont know wtf youre talking bout…..

    Do your research on Star,he was one of the original writers for the earliest rap mags.

    SMH if you dont know this….carry on

  24. Troubleshooter1900 Says:

  26. JJ Evans Says:

    Again, don’t put words in my text. I swear you guys are something else. Did I say “Star and Buc aint part of the culture”? No I did not. You may have misunderstood me and what I intended for you to get was they did spark plenty of controversy. Simple.

    And trust me I loved it!

  29. &What?! Says:

    ‘I don’t get that at all. You’re going to go to New York and play with two guys when you can go to Golden State, where they have six or seven guys and Mark Jackson getting ready to coach? I don’t get that. If you don’t have a point guard to run things, what’s the point? The Knicks don’t have any playmakers. Amar’e (Stoudemire) and Carmelo (Anthony) are not championship ballplayers. They’re incredible talents, but these guys don’t have the championship muster. They don’t know how to win. They don’t play defense. They don’t get down and grind, get dirty and gritty and pay the price for a championship. They want to outfinesse you and outpretty you. You can’t do that and win a championship.’
