The fact that Jeezy would break bread for verses from these Niggas says enough. He’s lost.
    ^
By that logic, Jeezy already lost by his first and second albums (see: Fab and Jada features since TM: 101/02)
Smh. Cats want Jeezy to lose so bad that they can’t even think straight. Now that’s a powerful kind of hate.

  2. 456 Says:

I like Jeezy but he lost.

  3. Bricktop Says:

And cosign Jimmy having a handful of almost brilliant moments early on. That ‘Ryder Musik’ Mixtape was chalk full of them. And yeah, ‘On My Way to Church’ was Jimmy’s pinnacle. “Only One Way Up From Here”, I think it was called….. yeah all three of em snapped on that one. And IMO, his verse on Diplomats Mixtape vol. 4’s “Fly Boyz” is his GOAT verse.

  4. Cashmere Cavalli aka Snowbunny Sampson Says:

Jeezy aint lose he just got lost in the crowd of trap rappers over the past 5 years

the Beats on TM101 were the standouts and now everybody has a 15 yr old making similiar beats in they basement (ie Lex Luger)

  5. Bricktop Says:

I like Jeezy but he lost.

Until this album flops (which will be the first of his career), you’re not going to find much evidence to support this claim.

    ==================

^Should’ve shot back at Ross when he had the chance. I could understand him feeling some type of way about BMF, and even refusing to co-sign fake shit by putting Ross on a feature, but then he got shot at, and didn’t fire back.

    ^^
    All I’m saying.

  8. Bricktop Says:

Lol, Jeezy ain’t lost shit except the half assed support from a few of the most finicky of fans.

  9. Bricktop Says:

Exactly at what point did this “loss” occur? Like which album? Which mixtape? Which interview? Which video?
Better yet, DEFINE lost/loss. I’m pretty sure my definition doesn’t coincide with yall’s.

1.) I don’t remember either one of those cats on Jeezy’s 1st and 2nd albums.

2.) even if they were, a verse from either in 2004, is a WHOLE different animal than a verse from either in 2011. Seven years is a loooooooong time.

  11. Bricktop Says:

These are the same people that’ll try to convince me that Drake won by making a song like Take Care.
Man, wtf is this world coming to?

Going from one of the top rappers in the game, dropping LPs on a 1 every 18 month basis, to not dropping an LP in 3 and a half years. Having your last two mixtapes come and go with zero buzz gathered. Attempting 6 difft singles for your next album, with none of them making an impact.

That’s losing. And there’s no way around it.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  14. b-ease Says:

I’ve BEEN a Jeezy fan, but he’s looking like tax write off status write now.

  15. b-ease Says:

    *right > write

  16. Tong Po Flo Says:

And yeah, ‘On My Way to Church’ was Jimmy’s pinnacle.

^ What about Diary of a Summer I thought that LP was pretty solid

  17. Deen Says:

Jeezy lost because he chose not to drop an album while remaining a presence on radio & the blogs for 3 years. He also lost because some fat fraudulent fuck took shots at him in a freestyle.

    OK.

  18. Eastern_Digital Says:

    co-sign

The first bars of Jim’s verse on Only One Way Up were ILL

    We set the precedence,
    to get them presidents,
over the ones that are dead
we might put guns to ya head

    #stopplayingjimmy(s ghostwriter)

End of the Road is an ill song too. That beat >>>>>>

Bitch my Cadillac is candy, and my pistol is pearl, my best friend is a pimp and his bottom bitch is ya girl…

  19. jderrida Says:

    Jeezy hasn’t loss anything…

Times have changed. The industry and consumers aren’t interested w/trap rap.

  20. silas aka simon Says:

lol jeezy lost the same way fifty lost neither one of them got the same production as ross and neither one of them can rap or make songs as good as ross and that is where hip hop is at, a former corrections officer is the best trap rapper in the game

Lose My Mind was getting played everywhere, and TOD2 was getting spins- FACT.

He had NO support from the label on this album, by his own admission.

That being said, he missed Coach K to tell him a good idea (OJ) from a bad one (Jizzle), but to say he was “losing” or “lost” is a joke…

He’s a multi-platinum artist, 3 times out the box. William hasn’t touched a mil yet.

    FACT.

    JihaD

  22. Danny Ocean Says:

Having your last two mixtapes come and go with zero buzz gathered.

    ^
Jeezy BEEN an established heavyweight in the game. with all due respect, fuck he need to gather a buzz for.

cats are trying to put Jeezy in that 50 Cent category, when that’s not the case…Jeezy ain’t drop no wack albums yet. until that happens, niggas need to chill.

  23. Bricktop Says:

So what I’m gathering is that his brief absence from the game is equivalent to losing. And he lost by not responding to the Parole Board Music Group during said hiatus. He also lost by leaking a handful of songs to some blogs, as well as releasing a half dozen mixtapes that went e-gold as opposed to e-platinum.

Interesting logic to say the least. I could pick these arguments apart, but it’s late and I don’t feel like doing that much typing on my phone. Lol.

  24. jderrida Says:

Ross isn’t a better artist than Jeezy.

Ross is just more popular now.

Both artist probably have equal amount of hits to their catalogs.

  25. JihaD Says:

    Anyway, good night niggas.

  27. Bricktop Says:

Jay doesn’t respond to random disses and he’s winning.
Cop doesn’t respond to 50 and he’s winning.
Jeezy doesn’t respond to Cop and he’s…… lost.

Like I said, very interesting logic from the Nah collective.

  28. b-ease Says:

I didnt say shit about Ross. Niggas is mad defensive.

  29. why? Says:

    Cosign brick and jihad.

  31. Danny Ocean Says:

Currensy and Wale and the rest of these microwave fast food blog rappers putting out mixtapes and songs and albums every other week got niggas perspectives messed up.

  32. b-ease Says:

Jay doesn’t respond to random disses and he’s winning.
Cop doesn’t respond to 50 and he’s winning.
Jeezy doesn’t respond to Cop and he’s…… lost.

    ^^
You’re debating imaginary topics. No one said Jeezy was losing cause he didn’t respond to Ross.

He’s losing because the Black chick at my job that bought Resession 3 years ago doesn’t give a fuck about him now. I dont give two flying fucks what caused that, I’m just dealing with current reality.

  33. b-ease Says:

Lose My Mind was getting played everywhere, and TOD2 was getting spins- FACT.

    ————————-
This is fucking accurate as an arrow. Real Rap.
All of hiphop is losing cause of this. Rappers are made and broken because WOMEN are the key BUYERS. College women IMO.

  35. Bricktop Says:

He’s losing because the Black chick at my job that bought Resession 3 years ago doesn’t give a fuck about him now.

Smh @ Drake fan logic. In all honesty, I don’t think Jeezy EVER made an attempt to go after the Take Care fanbase. Unless of course, said black coworker is a stripper.

  36. P.W. Says:

*And cause assholes like myself doesnt buy albums.

  37. jderrida Says:

Lol. He was saying the same thing about The Recession too.

  40. b-ease Says:

Jeezy ain’t got no buzz, and Niggas keep bringing up Drake. I can’t call it.

Soooooooo, what are you saying? That Jeezy always tells us the label doesn’t support, so if it flops we blame it on them?

    That’s some corny shit.

  42. Eastern_Digital Says:

    word.

I always wondered if Rap is hit harder by that than other genres.

  43. Deen Says:

Honestly, Jeezy only really “lost” on certain parts of the internet.

How do you lose by just standing pat?

Nas has lost approximately 18 times then. That nigga disappears in between albums…

By doing just that. Non movement might as well be negative movement.

  46. Bricktop Says:

You missed the point entirely. Like, it flew above your head on some UFO shit.
    ^
Nah, I get it. You subscribe to the widely accepted view within the HipHop community that the young female demographic is the end all, be all as far as a rapper’s success is concerned.
