    ====================================

^It’s about the lost potenital…the tracks and features you hear/see now that he would have bodied…Imagine an Aston Martin Music-esque feature with Big and Drake. Big stayed bodying R&B tracks.

  3. tHe KiD fRanKiE Says:

I’m wit the money team right now!

  4. Bricktop Says:

watchin big face gary get jumped right now

yeah maybe, but i dont deal with imaginary hypotheticals like that… its senseless…

thats like saying Patrick Ewing would have 9 championship rings if Jordan would have played for the Knicks…’

if it aint real, i dont respect it

  8. Bricktop Says:

but what tracks didn’t BIG body?

  9. DJ Chase Says:

I’m not even gonna bash Jay Elec, cuz i like most of the stuff that I’ve heard from him, although I haven’t heard it all. But that nigga aint even drop an album yet… how you crowning him…

Canibus at one point had just as much adolation and admiration as Jay elec has, and we see how that turned out

  10. b-ease Says:

I get where land AND Chase are coming from.

But the key to BIGs greatness isn’t the lyricism per se (even though he was excellent), it’s the songwriting, the hitmaking, and the uncanny ability to know how to make a song that both dainty women, and hardened felons could appreciate equally.

    BIG and PAC >>>>>

  11. Bones Jackson Says:

The Money Team comes in hundreds!

^i member niggas was tryna bring that “wet” out the way

Them Zans x lean is big there too

  13. &What?! Says:

    One things for sure

Big > 99% of rappers past, present and probably future.

Jay is probably the only rapper perhaps better than Big.

Nas ain’t close imo, he’s the most overrated rapper of all time!

    ^^
From the One More Chance rmx and forward, BIG spit nothing but pure excellence.

  15. Fyodor Drostoevsky Says:

Jean Grae sucks. Sorry. Get that monotone rapping about nothing shit outta here. I remember kinda digging her work with 9th a few years ago, but Cookies or Comas was pure trash. PURE. TRASH.

    ^
Hmmmm. If I’m rocking with anyone from the isle of lesbos it’ll be TheeSatisfaction, their tapes are tough, saying shit like “our sounds got you tapping your feet like a honky,” while on Nirvana’s record label. Jean aint bout that life anymore.

  16. &What?! Says:

Nas ain’t close imo, he’s the most overrated rapper of all time!

    ^

Well maybe third behind 2Pac and Eminem

  17. Bricktop Says:

    ^
    welp, that’s my cue.
    *dons overcoat and stetson*
    till next time…

  18. Jackson7 Says:

but what tracks didn’t BIG body?

    ————–

    LMAO

yall actin like i said he was wack..

he may have bodied them all, who knows…

i just dont see him as top5 DOA…

no harm in being #6-#15, tho..

out of a billion rappers, to be top 10 or 15 DOA?

thats not shitting on the grave, thats high praise..

    why is niggas mad?

  19. kevfresco Says:

whomever made outkast beats they knew they were being presented under the outkast banner because it would yield them profits.

so an argument that they ain make their beats is moot.

to debate that a majority of people think outkast sux as rappers without the tabulation to rival their record sales, which i know due to reading media sources, is moot.

haters really think they have a voice but with no proof jus sound like haters.

  20. Jackson7 Says:

Nas is slightly overrated too, btw…

  21. tHe KiD fRanKiE Says:

Nas ain’t close imo, he’s the most overrated rapper of all time!

^given his inconsistent body of work
    Wak beats
    Laziness

    I’d have to agree

    Cam>>>nas
    Wayne>>>>nas
    Spitta>>>>nas

  22. NovemberEnd Says:

BIG has two classic albums btw

    LAD his best album.

from ’98 – on most commercial rap albums follow a similar format as LAD

  23. Bricktop Says:

    @J7:
nah, that question wasn’t aimed at you. i was just throwing a general question out there to get the popular opinion.

  24. Jackson7 Says:

whomever made outkast beats they knew they were being presented under the outkast banner because it would yield them profits.

    ————

Rico Wade has beef with them Outkast niggas to this day about that… which is why he left them..

which is why they BEEN fell off

  25. sealsaa Says:

    Well maybe third behind 2Pac
    ================

    ^Speaking of overrated niggas

  26. b-ease Says:

    It’s about the lost potenital

    ^^
Nah, you can’t really rank Niggas like that though.

  27. DJ Chase Says:

but what tracks didn’t BIG body?

    ————–

    LMAO

yall actin like i said he was wack..

^Land, i got your point. I’m not knocking your opinion. Big don’t have to be in your top 5 or top 100 even.

Alls I’m saying is even with all that, I don’t think he’s overrated. But you do. And thats cool.

  28. Fyodor Drostoevsky Says:

Anybody got an interesting top 5 of rappers right now? Fuck that Goat shit.

  29. &What?! Says:

Of course Illmatic is an incredible record but aside from that Nas ain’t done a lot for me to regard him as one of the best.

Granted there’s a few nice songs in his discography that were released after Illmatic but still

  30. Jackson7 Says:

and Kev btw, i see you trying to use Outkast conversation as a convenient way to get lil attempted personal shots in… i wont even stoop that low …

if you got something else you wanna get off your chest, do it on mp3 like you swore to allah you would do 4 weeks ago…

  31. charles oakley Says:

U can’t compare jay elec and canibus, and I actually like bis’ music

Jay elec is the greatest rapper of all time…..

    of all TIME

    of ALL TIME!

    #realspit

  32. b-ease Says:

Nas ain’t close imo, he’s the most overrated rapper of all time!

    ^^
In the past few years, I’ve realized that ALOT of people feel this way. I don’t, but their arguments are valid.

  33. DJ Chase Says:

Nas is slightly overrated too, btw…

^I wouldn’t say Nas is overrated either. Its just that people want more from Nas than he is.

He chooses horrible beats, has a horrible track record with bitches, forgets his rhymes on stage, takes too long between projects, etc.

But lyrically, that boy is gifted. So gifted that fans know if he just focused, it would be no question about his stature in the game. But… Nas is Nas, so he half asses it when he wants knowing that his half assed shit is still better than 90% of the shit thats out there. But when he focuses, we get Illmatic, It was Written, Stillmatic, etc.

Thats not really overrated, i see that more as wasted potential

  34. Jackson7 Says:

    top5 overrated niggas

    Lil Wayne
    Pac
    TI
    Eminem
    Andrea3000
