I told you, if you dislike cardio, do Circuit training or Jump Rope.
your body will thank you nigga.
^whats the difference?
A lot of people don’t like the monotony of cardio (running, powerwalking, elliptical, etc).
Circuit training involves doing multiple exercises (usually between 8-10) in a row with little to no rest (no more than 30 sec).
Jumping Rope is a full body workout- great for coordination, and its nearly impossible to plateau doing it— You’ll always get the same workout out of it.
A great workout with a rope is the 100 drill. Everytime you stop, subtract 10 from your number and continue until you reach 100. As you begin you may end up actually going around 200-300 times before you hit that 100.
Once you can do 100 straight, you can begin mixing it up (boxer steps, high knees, etc).
Both are GREAT cardio workouts for people who dislike cardio.

I finally got myself to a solid 210 lbs, and I just finished a 3 month strength training program. I been apprehensive about in home workouts
congrats on reaching your goal and word to the in home workouts. i been trying to switch it up a bit lately and do more of my routines in the gym, but that shit doesn’t go as smoothly as I’d like b/c you have folks who like to monopolize weights for strip sets and my goals are centered around limited rest, circuit type training.
the chicks at the gym though, especially on pilates, zumba and yoga class days>>>>
My ultimate goal is 200 even (my HS weight), so now its a matter of altering my diet and finding a new workout that isn’t as strength centered.
I like Circuit training, but like you said, when people get to monopolizing the equipment, it drives me crazy.
Oh, and the Zumba and Bellydancing Classes >>>>>>. The heavy bag and speed bag is in the same workout room, so I get to enjoy the view when I go in to train.
Word. Circuit training can maintain strength (maybe not muscle growth unless you tweak your diet), but physically you’ll look larger because your cutting some serious fat and water weight which obscures the actual size of your muscles.
