  3. RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says:

Wayne actually followed a very similar format as C3 on C4, too. That only makes the newer records shortcomings more obvious.

    A Milli > 6 Foot 7
    3peat > Intro
Misunderstood and Play With Fire > Its Good
    Comfortable > How to Hate
Got Money > John aside from Rozay
Shoot Me Down > President Carter

    even
    Lollipop > How to Love

C3 is much better than C4….on second listen C4 isn’t as bad as I thought, it just pisses me off Wayne didn’t rap on the interlude with Tech and 3000
    ——————————————

C4 will probably grow on me a little, but C4 was probably my favourite record that year. No way C4 even makes the top 5 this year for me.

  26. RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says:

But yeah, I have a feeling the shitty beats are the least of his worries.

Eminem got a positive response and his album almost pushed Just Blaze off
the Top 10 producers list on its own. Nicki Minajs album had shitty beats too, at least on the singles, probably the album tracks too. Meanwhile Kanye sells less than those two even with much better music.

I thought his verse on DIAND was massively overrated here, but his brand of eloquent bullshit would fit in perfectly on a Wayne record. He did steal the show on John.

You and I are talking about different things. Youre talking about cultural relevance, Im talking about popularity only.

Eminem is definitely popular, no way around that. Hes not really culturally relevant though, since not to many rappers are going to take after him much. Kanyes the most culturally relevant rapper out right now.

But popularity really is mostly about the numbers.

  52. The Shot Clock Says:

i think She Will is a perfect 2011 track. beat, content, everything is perfect. it’s fresh, current as fuck and makes WTT sound old. So i thought wayne was actually gonna go somwhere.

but instead the beats are pretty weak and it’s a lazy effort all around (Abortion is a recycled track from ALC’s album where Wayne just did the hook!).

I dont disagree with that analogy at all, but overall Eminem was getting a lot more buzz last than any other rappers in the last year or two.
