^I dont know what’s sadder b. You, the fact that it took you 50 to come out the closet, blowing the little money you got on strippers, paying to just LOOK at pussy, you thinking you’re “winning”, you examining rappers that close to comment on their bodies, or just you being you son.

It really must suck to be you b.

    Harlem Rappers > Philly Rappers

This is factual. We get mooga on this side.

    >>>>>>

First of all, how did this become Harlem vs. Philly?

And it is true. Outside of the Children of the Corn, who else ya’ll got?

    I’ll wait…

Secondly Harlem > Philly Is not factual at all. We SHITTED on EVERY Harlem rapper how decided to step in the Ring.

    FACT.

    Reed Dollaz shitted on T-Rex

    Joey shitted on Mook

Swain shitted on K Shine and Lux been ducking him since.

Like, this is ALL easily searchable on Youtube, b. Couple of easy clicks.

And Mugga, nigga, not MOOGA. Don’t take Philly slang and not use it properly.

    >>>>>>>>>>

And Smoke DZA is better then a hundred of those Philly mixtape rappers.

    >

No he’s not . But its irrelevant. You trying to turn something into a Harlem/Philly thing, when its not that serious. DZA in the exact same boat as those philly rappers- dropping mixtapes and looking for spins.

    FACT.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>

Joey Jihad? It’s never gonna happen moe.

Mike Knox actually thinks he’s gonna drop an album on G-Unit.

    Dumb nigga.

All irrelevant. And both them niggas is better than ASAP Rocky AND Smoke DZA.

And they ALL in the same place- THE INTERNETS.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Vado got signed to the Scope.

    Meek signed wit the CO.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

No. Vado got signed to Diplomats/Interscope

i’m not talking abot his mixtape. that was a long time ago and really isn’t relevant. if your defense is that once upon a time he made a great mixtape you’re already on shaky ground. and then aligning your taste with that of the masses as a way of validating your taste is also faulty.

and no, his singing is not the problem. any fan of music listens to singers as well as rappers.

Your ears didn’t work then, homie-

Y’all niggas deal with emotions like bitches
What’s sad is I love you ’cause you’re my brother
You traded your soul for riches
My child, I’ve watched you grow up to be famous
And now I smile like a proud dad, watching his only son that made it
You seem to be only concerned with dissing women
Were you abused as a child, scared to smile, they called you ugly?
Well life is hard, hug me, don’t reject me
Or make records to disrespect me, blatent or indirectly
In ’88 you was getting chased through your building

    ^

The messages were beyond clear to everyone who understood the message.

Camel was a sellout angry at women who wanted more than anything to have Nas on his records and be acknowledged by his peers in the same breath as The Notorious BIG and Nasir Jones.

And the tears and fear in Camel’s heart when Angie interviewed him, and Sigels account of Camel sitting in the studio with his hand in his head, and Memphis recounting that the Studio was like a “morgue” when the Ether dropped proved him RIGHT.

TC, C4 and GFID will be of better quality purely because Drake, Wayne and Ross are most likely sticking to the script and are not experimenting with new concepts like Kayne.

    Oh shit…

And I know niggas ain’t get this one,

^I got it and *died* too.

One day when Risan uses his mental though…

It could happen. Look at his pops nigga.

    #RealNiggaSalute

    ^

Fam, Ima save that one. I know Risan gonna be ready to snuff his uncle BSG once he’s old enough to read that, lol.

Whats funny is that Nas is the smaller one and STAY crushing Risan when they get to wrestling over their pacificers, lol.

    *daps*

    And nigga, HOLLA AT ME.

C’mon b, you know what I meant. There is no way a sane man would say that Nas’ verse in VI is wack. I’m just interested why you would say it is the GOAT verse.

^Honestly, I can’t give you a straight answer beyond the fact that it was so fuckin dope when I first heard it, I got brain-freeze. No bullshit.

  411. Eastern_Digital Says:

to put it simply, content wise, he articulates the struggle and fame as well as his involvement in and desire to rise above both more succinctly and more vividly than anyone else ever has in a single verse imo. thats pretty much what every rapper raps about today.

not to mention his delivery, cadence, the beat, the timing (it’s a great opening verse) are in perfect harmony.

Wayne gotta prove that he can stand the test of his fan base getting older and not being on the same shit they were on as teens and young 20’s.

That’s what Rakim,KRS,Big Daddy Kane faced. They ALL are arguably GOATs.

Jay and Nas are up against that now and the young kids are whispering fuck Jay,he should retire….Nas is finished etc.

Wayne,Drake,Wiz,the cop, them odd figure niggas, and Nicki seem to be the next class up.

But the music ain’t memorable at ALL. Some of it is good, but not a lot of classics…

I really thought the same thing^ I wasnt compltetely thrilled with the album but i’ll be happy as long as Jay-z continues to make MUSIC.

  467. tre Says:

J.Cole will come correct save for a few corny songs. He won’t pull Lasers on us.

But the album will be slept on because I don’t see him building enough buzz. A little more than a month away and no one knows who he is.

I don’t know if it’s that artists on good music simply work harder but it strikes me that Kid Cudi was nobody who found his lane and is now musically self-sufficient.

I see Cole needing to lean on Roc Nation for buzz. He got dedicated fans, lots of support at tours, a shit load of music, but no identity.

I don’t know what it is but I hope he finds his lane. The way Hov was talking about Roc Nation and how they do artist development sounded good in theory. But quite frankly GOOD music seems to do a better job with it and J.Cole probably would’ve received better support there.

I’m no A&R or music mogul but personally I would have liked to see J.Cole building on his production. Maybe something like a producer apprentice for Ye that would be supplying dope beats to bigger artists. I think he’d be able to find his own style and understand how to build records that really define him as an artist.

Right now it looks like he insists on doing everything himself which creates a lack of outside perspective. He put out mixtape after mixtape of his own production, his own hooks, and his own rhymes. He thinks his production is dope and sometimes it is. But he needs that proper support to help him evolve. If he was focused on producing for other big artists he would have learned from what they do on the track and what works/doesn’t work. Quite obviously, the Workout single doesn’t work.

Now have a look at Kanye for comparison. He was producing beats for a long time and got to hear Hov spit on his beats among many other big artists at the height of Rocafella. By the time his debut finally came around he dropped hit song after hit of dope production – Slow Jamz, Through the Wire, Jesus Walks. But I don’t think he would’ve been as successful without developing his production skills. He probably would’ve been in a similar lane as Talib.

I’m just rambling now but the bottom line is that Roc Nation is doing a poor job cultivating J.Cole’s production game. If he was focused on producing these past two years, Workout would have been a much better radio song. I know J.Cole thought it was dope for a radio cut but Kanye would have never let that shit fly in its current form. Jay’s too busy with business deals and probably just said ‘aight’.

I’m definitely checking for Cole’s album. It’ll probably be a solid debut album. But it would probably be even better album if it was released through GOOD music.
