I don’t know what’s more played out…Affion Crocker doing a Jay-Z impression or Aries Spears doing the Jay-Z/DMX impression

Both were funny the first 10 times I saw it though

Affion doing Drake is still hilarious though

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

So it’s down to Big Sean, Pusha T and Jay Electronica.

Jay Elec might be hiking Macchu Piccu and chewing on Coca leaves at that time…or spending a month living with an indigenous tribe on a remote island though

im less mad at random producers (if theyre not just ripping off works)

whoever the best, is the best. so if some kid ends upbeing sick at making beats. so be it

i guess you coudl say the same for rappers, but most of the time, its not like beats where htey work with it and really create a product. they just make a remix of the hot trackk, week after week, spamming the internet

idk.. maybe im just htinking wrong hahaha

I’m saying…that’s even more reason to think he’s out doing some opium in nature somewhere.

  23. Harlem World Says:

    @ rex

He has no character, people love to root for the underdog, thats what J Cole represents. But in reality hes a major label artist on tour with Rihanna and collabs with Jay-Z. He’s far from the underdog imo.

    And his beats suck.

  24. jderrida Says:

D.O.C been living with his wife according to AHH.

    ^^^

There married? I thought they had a child together, but I didn’t think Jay married her.

Jay personal life is kept quiet. We don’t know if they broke up.

Plus it don’t even matter really, Jay music is legit without Badu.

  25. rex hussla Says:

Jay Elec had to know that he had Erykah but he never really had her

my guess is she’ll leave D.O.C. and then have a baby with Blu. It was written.

  26. Harlem World Says:

    Really tho,

You could do a parody or impression of Wayne, Wiz, Ross – they have character

but nobody can do a j cole impression…because he has no character or personality the mic

    ^^^

Nah, being a drug addict, stoner or liar is not personality.

For marketing purposes, yeah, having an outlandish identity is key for your “brand”

But we ain’t talking about that now….Constantly overexposing Cole’s lack of marketability isn’t substantive reason to discredit his raps and beats

Cole is dope, he doesn’t need lean, Amber Rose or a Maybach to prove it

  32. rex hussla Says:

I have a friend that just back from Macchu Piccu and did the hike and Coca leave thing…it’s pretty wild.

I want to travel but that’s a wild type of adventure.

    j cole is bland/grey/ordinary

has nothing to do with drugs etc – jigga x yeezy got plenty of character, just like ross x wiz do

this is the problem with hip hop elitists…you always complain about undershipping, marketing, dumb fans etc – when a lot of the time you cant admit the music is just not that good

co-sign J. Cole’s beats being boring and part of the problem

i can see producing your entire project if you were a in-demand producer before u started rapping

but if u couldn’t give away beats why would people wanna hear u rap over them

  40. Harlem World Says:

AllHipHop.com: Really? That’s a good comparison. So how did y’all pick the title?

Waka Flocka Flame: I mean, people are always trying to get into our lane, and we are some of the top people in our lane. By our lane, I mean our sound of music. People don’t want to give us our credit but they are constantly taking our sound… taking my sound.

    ^^^^

Maybe its me but I continue to read what your saying and what it seems to me is you dislike Cole’s music because you think he is bland. Alright man, music is subjective.

Elitist argue the good quality of music by arbitrary reasons. Whatever man do you. But also I couldn’t type that drugs are not a critical part of image and then use Jay as an example. Dude was plenty the drug dealer until he started making the banker/mogul money and switched it up…..but this is just semantics……

The personality of the artist is important in rap music. You can’t vibe to the music if you don’t admire/relate/understand/tolerate what the artist is rapping. The means on of how the rapper is able to make good music is dependent upon their personality. So Cole mentality puts you off but that doesn’t there are not thousands of others that feel him.

Universal has claimed that they owned 50% of the Wu-Tang Clan songs, but according to a decision in February, Universal only owns a 25% stake and should only be collecting 12.5% of the income earned from the group’s songs under the contract.

    ^

I’m confused…so it should be label 25% and artist the other 75%? Or is there other people getting a piece of the pie?
