Uh-oh. Bad news for all you J.Cole fans out there.

Cole, who shot his video for “Can’t Get Enough” featuring Trey Songz in Barbados this past weekend, also explained that he’s still waiting on the Jay-Z verse for his debut. “I don’t know, you tell me, man, texting this man every day. [The beat] might be there. I hit him every five days. It’s like a Christmas present, I just want it to come. I want to stop harassing this man.”

  9. Bx Blue Says:

    Oh and Alchemist>>>>>>>>>>>>>>your favorite producer

  10. Smooth Says:

Jay’s first verse on Church in the World is one of the best of his career

  16. A Chick Says:

    lmao @TS!!

    @Bx Blue
The Jay verse ain’t even that necessary. As long as the album drops, he good.

  17. Bx Blue Says:

@ A Chick – A Jay verse must be nesessary if dude is texting him every day really stressing out about not having it. I mean, if the guy who signed you won’t even drop one verse on your debut you in trouble.

Then again J Cole is the definition of mediocre.

    —————-

My point being that Jay BEEN lookin like an a-hole for the past 2 years. Only exception was when he let J Cole breathe on BP3.

So many ppl just want J Cole to drop the album and prove that’s he capable of holding it down for 12 songs straight. So to me that’s all that matters.

Plus Jay just dropped his own album. So it’s a no brainer as to why he’s not concerned w/ Cole.

    Bashar Al Assad…

  33. A Chick Says:

The Warm Up was Cole’s best mixtape imo. Lots of joints on there that could’ve been used to jump off his career. Kinda like Drake and SFG.

But the marketing and the push just isn’t there for my boy. And ppl live to compare Drake’s career w/ J Cole but they forget that Wayne literally handed Drizzy the throne. Like there was no song or no interview in which Wayne wasn’t putting him on or telling the world how great he was….it was a freaking love fest. I puked repeatedly….but nonetheless Drizzy blew (nh) up.

    Rihanna tour
    BP3 feature
    Euro tour with Drake
    track with Trey & Danjahandz

who’s fault is it he wants to do it all himself? let someone else write your hook, craft a beat etc

  39. mcb Says:

    A chick

    a lot truth in that…

i mean damn, just yesterday i was saying

“1 time for the ciiiiittaaaayyyyyy and 2 timesss for youuuuU”

  40. Harlem World Says:

he’s just boring – he doesnt sound hungry

compare him to meek mills, ross doesnt smother him (no pun) – just a hook here and there, keeps him hungry, lets him grow as an artist

j cole is not as good as the blogs and his fans make him believe – tell him so he can improve

  41. mcb Says:

    @HW

he aint on top of that, he barely menitoned, but truth yes he has gotten the exposure.

perhaps its just not the help he needs. idk… i seen him live before a Clipse show and this was I think 2 years back, and I know a lotta my friends aint know him, as i was just lreaning myself. then after some radio hits, the “friends” that like wiz, drake, etc.. were reciting his lyrics

the problem came right after that…. there was nothing.

he neeeded to put more out, or his support neede to be greater

but im an outsider, im only speaking on whats in my head, not facts

  42. mcb Says:

    ————–
Not only was Drake on tour with Wayne when no one knew the kid…but let’s count, how many songs does Drake have with Wayne?

    J Cole + Jay-Z = 1

    Wayne + Drake = 25+

Hell SFG should count as a collaboration!! It’s a YM version of WTT.

  45. mcb Says:
