  2. Camelot Says:

Haha, I made the reference to Nas to illustrate what I was sayin, not to specifically to speak on Land’s opinion of The Savior.

I’m just sayin, that nigga will hide the trophies at a special olympics ceremony.

Exactly… Which makes me believe that it’s a pure case of hatred for that mans talents more than them actually believing Nas is Goat… Ima let them tell it doe

I wouldn’t even download that shit. The thought of that shit is exhausting. Excessive lyrical blackouts over the course of one album or the aural equivalents of excessive synths and 808s across an album. The shit will leave most people bored and numb.

man do yall wanna hear lyrics or dont yall????

    ^

Lyrics and rapping are two very different things. Lyrics involve the process of writing towards a point– expressing a feeling, expanding on a concept, etc.

Rapping is just bars– punchlines, similes, etc.

Lyrics often contain gems and quotables and require repeated spins to both absorb and enjoy to their highest level.

Rapping usually has funny moments, but often leaves you with an empty feeling and the question, “what the fuck did he just say?”, usually resulting in you never listening again.

  9. The Shot Clock Says:

Rappers should do more single producer albums cuz it makes them cohesive.

    ^

this. artistically this makes too much sense, but financially i think it’s better for the producers to sell individual beats.

  10. Jackson7 Says:

    2. Like Water For Chocolate
    3. Finding Forever

    5. Electric Circus

  11. Deen Says:

No ID + Common is only interesting to me if Jazz samples are involved.

That shit worked perfectly on Resurrection.

  12. Camelot Says:

Sometimes I imagine what my music interest would be if I had been one state up or below VA.

But I get the best and worst of both worlds

25 tracks just seems really long. He could have dropped a 13 song version, and a 12 song follow up two months later, and at least gave niggas a chance to listen.

I don’t even wanna hear 25 songs of me, shit.

    JihaD

    ^^^

Why do niggas fail to heed this shit? Half as long, twice as strong. 10 to 15 tracks will win everytime.

    ^

Honestly? most people listen to they own shit so long that it starts sounding “dated” to them, so they want to just release it rather than hold on it .

Plus, they don’t think any of it isn’t strong.

Yeah great fukn track…. but 50 Shot Ya (Problem Child) gotta take that spot… one of the first joints I heard from him and the reason I started payin serious attention….. these tracks alone should assure 50’s spot…fuck the radio joints… people forget so quickly.
Mayb he needs to get fronts on to get that lazy give-a-fuck-flow back.
