You make a excellent point, but to be honest I very rarely listen to Guru or Rakim… And if I do it’s never on repeat.

I don’t see Kiss has having a monotone flow… He simply lacks a variety of flow

Kiss has 2 flows, when he’s rappin with styles and when he’s not… So I guess that’s more like 1.5

what am i not hearing that all these Big Sean advocates hear

Final Hour is the best piece of music i’ve heard from him and that’s mainly for the beat Cannon blessed him with

Shits dope, definitely something you can roll up and smoke out to.

  4. Albert Findsdimes Says:

Niggas in servitude to whitey ala Driving Miss Daisy

    Should win an Oscar.

    Hollywood loves that kinda shit.

I saw the poster & felt disrespected.

Yeah, I just peeped the trailer.

It’s going to glorify one white woman’s desire to write a story over the courage of the black women.

My fellow honkies will leave the movie and think, “Well I’m glad that whole racism thing is done!”

No doubt, and I can understand why– More energetic MCs ALWAYS sounded better on Primo stuff, but Guru was able to hang because his voice was so authorative… Rakim too.

    Speaking on Kiss-

His flow is ALWAYS the same, and I have NEVER heard kiss modulate his voice to make a point– he’s never cynical, or adding melody, or being playful, even when he’s saying that shit. Styles is the same way.

Matter of fact, only Sheek really does it out of the Lox– random pauses, laughing while he raps, going dead serious halfway thru a bar. If it wasn’t for his (comparatively) weak pen game, he would easily be the most versatile out of the LOX trio.

Content wise, Styles is more versatile then Kiss though.

    ^^^

    That shit was trash too.

Worst solo Lox album by far.

I don’t know how that shit managed to get released.

  16. Cashmere Cavalli aka Snowbunny Sampson Says:

    u can hear Fiend’s DNA all in Currensy’s music…..

i applaud him for keeping the OG close

  17. Captain Planet Says:

    WHOA!

    Fiend murdered his verse here

  18. MonstaDon Says:

Out of the 3 mixtapes Fiend has released in the past year or so, this latest was the tightest sonically…this song being one of the highlights…I like 5% Tint too…and the jawn with Street Wiz, ‘Street Lights’…Fiend been in the game for a minute tho! No Limit days right? Like someone else said in the comments, kudos to Curren$y for keeping his OG close…finally…niggas rapping about something realistic AND fun, and not banging us over the head with a bunch of complaining nonsense…I think that’s what kept me listening to Fiend after being reintroduced to his music…not just the Curren$y affiliation…but the fact he’s not sounding like some bitter old head that got robbed of his chance to shine…

    100.
