Dude and that whole crew are hipsters. Like it or not. Not the same type of hipsters, but hipsters nonetheless. I love it when people spend a bunch of time hating things, distancing themselves from certain things, only to end up really being what you hate. The irony.
    ^^^

I said this way back, OF is anti-hipster but uses the hipster aesthetic to get their point across.

And again, these kids are 17-23 in age range. They are wild young and don’t really know who they are or what they want to be. They only have ideas.

    Fall back a lil bit.

  2. Smooth Says:

in the short term it’s great though, it grants you access to a multitude of women leading to more opportunities to reproduce which is the (un)consciouns motivating force for the majority of things a man does in his life

    ^

So, all of that fucking just becomes memories…..then back to square 1

Is it better to have had and lost, or not had at all is the REAL question.

  3. P.W. Says:

I mean, is it? I ain’t mad at who they like musically. People want to box them in musically and I suppose it bothers them (would bother me too I guess).

And yea, they are hipsters. They the Eminem generation, just like I was the Biggie generation, and others were the Rakim generation. We ALL emulate our surroundings, and push the old away from us as we attempt to come into our own as people.

I mean, I ain’t apologizing to them, but from someone who works with teenagers DAILY, I understand the mentality. A little nigga told me Big was wack, and cited Yo Gotti and Gucci Mane as better rappers– I almost smacked that young bul, lol.

Then I thought about it– he didn’t grow up listening to Big, how could he UNDERSTAND him?

Hating on nahright and other blogs isn’t anti-establishment. That shit is hilarious to me.

These dudes are gonna be big with the kizza URB – Pitchfork crowd, and when they’re a little more popular that crowd will just lust for the next new thing.

Of course I understand and appreciate their attitude…but talking about fuck the Gravediggaz or boom bap but think you’re cutting edge when your material is pretty much Marshall Mathers (the most mainstream rapper there is like it or not)…that’s corny.

because at the end of the day. the biggest difference between a ferrari & a cheaper sports car is brand power. Trust me.

    ^^^

    I totally disagree with this.

Money buys quality. A Ferrari performs WAY better than a Geo.

    Let’s not start money-bashing. It’s not cute.

If you dream or are working towards being wealthy or even financially independent why would you bash on what you want to become?

That’s like people who don’t let people in Mercedes onto the road in front of them because of the brand. That’s that young Jalen Rose attitude.
    ^^

    you comparing apples to oranges.

if you compare a tiburon to a ferarri you will see that they both go fast & have some quality. the ferarri has brand power & recognition & markets itself as much more than what the tiburon is. They aren’t so different in basics.

now I never said ferarri’s are shit or I wouldn’t like one. I’m sayin I’m happy with my Nissan Altima while I figure my life out & stack my cheese to get the things I want. and maybe when I get there I’ll find I don’t really want a ferarri that bad.

I said i was done i lied im almost done

Niggas talking about Money aint everything

    true IT ISNT

But tell me if im right or wrong

If you CARE NOTHING about accumlating wealth or being financially depedent wouldnt your overall quality of life be better moving out of the united states and living on an island or someplace where society isnt money driven?

In America if you dont got money your not shit! ask the homeless nigga sleeping on the side walk down 30th st station

so if you don’t give a fuck about money that’s cool…but why live in America?

go move to Jamaica or something and grow your own produce to feed your self and fall back philosophize and some weed all day.

your life would be a alot better

living and trying to function in America and bashing money is like playing in the nfl with no pads then bitching when you get your fuckin neck broke.

If you play flag football (move to a society that isnt so financially driven)

    then your good.

    >>> C’mon fam. A tiburon is NOT the same as a Ferrari. Ferrari has a WAY better interior and electronic capabilities. You’re right you pay a premium on the brands prestige, but what is that based on? That’s based on quality and excellence.

That’s like saying cotton keeps you as warm as cashmere.

Don’t hate money. Just don’t let it contol you.

never said money wasn’t important or nice or anything.

I was only saying that people should not take so much of what they see celeb’s doing as the only way.

Half that shit is fake & staged anyway.

  15. rex hussla Says:

No shots whatsoever, Amp and Jihad are most accepting of musicians. Like you guys aren’t as critical of a lot of rappers, you give guys the benefit of the doubt for the most part and don’t trip off the little shit so I’d expect you to stick up for them. Or maybe you don’t take them that serious.

I’m just saying that overall, their whole steez is already showing cracks to me. This is 2011, the do it yourself age, so the unpolished feel they have will have it’s pluses and minuses, but I’m just saying that overall they could end up widely viewed as cornballs through all the shit they do and say.

So? That doesnt change YOU. A wolf in a ferrari is still a wolf. A wolf in a ford is still a wolf.

BTW – I think all the “Fuck all the old shitck is just that…shtick. Tyler & co. seem to be students of the game. I’m not saying they listen to everything, but as artists who seem to care alot about their craft, it would shock me that they didn’t appreciate some of the classics the genre has produced.

^^^^ Repackaging shit is stagnating in itself. But we live in a fog with zombies so that will always be the arguement. Kanye ripping the begining of that film. Stagnating, Swizz beats pushing “art” doing corny reeboks shoes, stagnating. if your not there from the jump you wont know what was done before.

Your projecting your expectation on their reality.

I mean, but they don’t even KNOW who the Gravediggaz are. They prolli NEVER heard music from the RZArector or Prince Paul or Fruitkwan, but I bet they know the words to the Marshall Mathers LP by HEART. I mean, imagine being compared to someone you never heard, or only hearing your music get called Horrorcore– maybe they just rapping what they would want to hear?

And hating on Ashmi and the NMC has been overdue. The self-righteousness that goes on with these blogs is disgusting. He ain’t really said nothing other people haven’t said.

But I think the thing to take away from what they are doing is that they are building this themselves. People who didn’t follow the movement don’t realize they been doing this shit for a WHILE now, ALL of them have dropped albums, mixtapes, etc. Did they own videos and shit. Applaud that.
