Yea, I was trying to give Tron some choices in his music selection, but my OCD kicked in and I started scouring the HD, lol.

Sent you the last mix just a few minutes ago too homie.

The only downside to u fowarding the tracklist to him is that he’s gonna spot the Project Pat mix right away and ignore that one. lol

Downloading the last mix as we speak.

It’s Immobilarity & The Lex Diamonds Story with a better budget.

Rae works best in an album context when he’s working with the Wu.

Fam, I saw the review of Lasers at Allhiphop, and they tried to say it was the “greatest listening experience since MBDTF”

I knew right then that all critics suck dick= FACT.

BTW – Meth sounded rejuvanated on the joins he appeared on on SvW. A OB4CLII styled comeback for Meth is in order.

LOL Vast majority of these critics write some shit that’s unbelievable …

I mainly stick to Allmusic and Rapreviews. Rapreviews rarely fuck up, they got a spot-on review of Thank Me Later.

  28. Hopp Says:

O, and Rapreviews jus’ put up a Lasers write-up.

    * vanishes to read that *

I drank the Kool Aid when MBDTF dropped. Away from all the hype, it’s having trouble standing on its own two as far as my eardrums are concerned. Def my least favorite Ye album by a sizable margin.

But Meth has been snapping as of late. It’s not like he ever really fell off either, unlike a Rakim, who has the buzz but couldn’t put together a hot album at this stage in his career if his life depended on it.

  32. LeRoy Green Says:

I’ve heard some pretty good mixtapes in the last year or 2.

    Friday Night Lights
    Albert Anastasia
    From The Westside With Love
    There Is No Competition 2
    Boss Of All Bosses
    Trap Or Die 2
    Ashes To Ashes
    The Warm Up
    No Ceilings
    Cocainism

The Fly 2 is better than all of those.

  35. JihaD Says:

Lasers, Lupe’s latest album, illustrates growth and progression in a rapper – an example of an artist growing in this genre wonderfully – and the ability to create “lemonade” out of the lemons.

    ^

    Seriously, tho…

@ B-Ease- I gave up trying to tell people MBDTF was a one time listen. I think now I can release an article I wrote about the album and the undo hype it got (from White people first, then from the blacks clamouring to be involved).

Eh, I’m on the fence. Gucci has def never made an album as dope as Ghetty Green, but La Flare dropped an awful lot of mixtape crack in 2009, that summer especially.

  39. DJ Chase Says:

I learned never to listen to critics, or anyone’s opinion of music, after i read somewhere a long time ago that DMX’s Its Dark and Hell is Hot was corny

I’m actually waiting to see if Waka can do it again. Cause his first 3 single roll out was on some The Game during The Documentary era shit. 3 bangers in a row. Not an easy feat to duplicate, especially for a nigga who doesn’t speak in complete sentences.

  41. b-ease Says:

This also leads that the production will be entertaining from there out. Lupe creates a unique sound which is unlike most hip-hop currently – keeping this reviewer entertained and excited throughout. Lasers feels like a release of musical energy – an endless expression from start to finish.

    ^

Yo… only a Kizza would enjoy the production on Lasers… those dulcet tones and weak ass drum patterns weren’t mean for Africans.
