it’s that Ace Hood “Hustle Hard”…
now you can’t front on this shit that shit is hard! and it definitely doesn’t sound like any other his beats

  11. Mook Says:

Glass House is a really old song off Kush & OJ…
y u add it as bonus?

  12. AmpGeez a.k.a. Amphernee Hardaway Says:

Everybody wanted The Runners sound a few years ago.

I think they are producing high school dances & Bar Mitzvahs now.

  13. Hopp Says:

What the fuck was that at the end ?

  14. Instru-mental AKA Darth Vader AKA Your Father Says:

Niggas were frontin on that Ace Hood track… dajaz1, meka and em were shitting on Ace and the song.. week later, that faggot fuckboy meka was on his knees talking about how hard the track was.

    subtle gems.

This is what separates “Producers” from “Beatmakers”.

  22. Hopp Says:

” their sound got played out super quick ”

    Their fault.

I can understand everyone hopping off to the next beatmaker, but that doesn’t mean they have to be completely faded out as it occurred.

Jim Jonsin was the hot beatmaker at some point. Handed off the title to Boi Wonder and vanished, but he still gets a placement here and there. That nelly joint that revived his career was after Jim’s 15 minutes.

    ===========================================
But if he was as great as he was initially touted, he’d be getting more then a placement here or there & let’s be honest, his recent work has been crap. And he’d been producing and landing beats on albums for years before Lollipop.

It’s just that once people saw how Lollipop did, they wanted Jim to give them the next one.

    And he really couldn’t.

Beatmakers can get pigeonholed and played out.

A good producers will always be sought after.

Cause the NMC is showing solidarity after Tyler shitted on Nah Right & 2DB.

Odd Future doesn’t need them anyway. Neither did Lil’ B.

The NMC is only one small corner of the bloggersphere. You don’t have to go through them to succeed, regardless of what they’d have you believe.

  30. Hopp Says:

    ” And he really couldn’t. ”

Whatever You Like was seconds after Lollipop. Now, all I’m sayin’ about Jim Jonsin is not really to much praise, I believe what he’s producing right now has been crap. I also believe it was crap all along. [Yeah, I’m familiar wit’ the pre-Lollipop work]

But, like you said, he’s not a producer, he’s a beatmaker. So a placement here and there it’s just fine for him. Specially when eventually he makes shit like Just A Dream and cakes.

The Runners can’t cake. No one’s givin’ them that chance.

I forgot about that shitpile of a song.

But all The Runners need is the right artist to pick the right beat & make the right song.

Which means alot of shit has to go right for them to come back.

A real producer can take years off & still have people wanting to work with them.

    Look at Pete Rock.

  35. Mook Says:

    My favorite producers and Y…

Bangladesh: Bass heavy beats and I love bass

    Drumma Boy: Evil as violins

    Kane Beatz: Orginal

Danja: No producer makes a better club record than this guy. SLEPT ON.

Lex Luger: Hectic sound and makes beats that only a few rappers can master while other rappers let his beats eat them alive.

    T-Minus & Boi-1da: Both have nice drums…t-minus is boi-1das prodigy supposedly

Swizz Beatz: Yeah people say his shit is all samples and easy to make but guess what …it’s catchy as fuck

Rejuvenated Timbaland’s career & gets way less credit then he should. He’s not limited to Hip-Hop/R&B. Dude can handle Pop/Rock just as well.

He has Kevin Cossom as his flagship artist but for now, he’s a producer for hire.

He’s gonna have to break a special kind of artist to really step to the forefront…which I’m not certain he wants to do anyway.

Yeah I’ve heard some of the production he’s done on some Pop records and they are actually pretty damn dope…

yeah I think he’s fine with being a low-key producer as long as he’s getting that check

  47. AmpGeez a.k.a. Amphernee Hardaway Says:

Cool & Dre are talented but tend to do the same kind of beats over & over. They are content to churn out derivative shit for the highest bidder.

They missed the boat by not dropping Dre’s “The Trunk” album.

Chevy Riding High & Be Somebody were cool & I know they had joints with Chris Brown in the cut.

They get money though, so on that level their successful, but they’ll never be mentioned with the industry elite until the broaden the scope of their production.

And somehow I don’t think that’s gonna happen on Cash Money.

Dre evolved from The Chronic to 2001, but he’s at the point now where he’s more orchestrator then actual producer.

He doesn’t work enough for me to have a real opinion on where he’s at as a producer (Even though he has released a gem or two via Em & 50 over the last couple years).

Honestly, Justice League took Cool & Dre’s spot & I don’t see them giving that shit up any time soon.

    ^^

Justice League are about to be elite status.

Here’s the problem with a lot of these beatmakers.

If they expanded their sound bank, hire other musicians(for basslines, string quartets etc), they would last longer(ll). Listen to The Chronic, DRe may have chopped the beats, but they had musicians in there playing with the track.

That’s what production is about. Telling an artist to try to sing in a different note, or correct them when they hit a bad one. That’s part of the reasons why Diplo, Mark Ronson & Salaam Remi still have careers.

Beatmakers who wanna last need to understand this.

    ================

A person that is country/Southern to an extreme. Typically a very country person of African-American decent from the Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama areas but they can dwell in other states as well.

Without too much of a history lesson, a Geechee or Geechie (not Geechy) person is someone of a Gullah descent. Gullah is the mixture of the English and African languages, that was spoken by slaves who were required to learn english, but still didn’t want the masters to know exactly what they were saying. However, unlike the Gullah link indicates, Gullah was actually widespread along the coast. It may have originated in Charleston, but there are many gullah civilizations located right in Beaufort, SC. The Geechee language is the derivative of Gullah, that has a creole, southern, and carribean twang to it. It still chops up the English language like Gullah, allowing someone to say more with less words, or eliminate excessive mouth movement.

Same with the SEC (probably right), Big East (whatever bitches), Western Conference (that was true for a long time) and American League (all because of the DH rule in the National League?).
