Yup…but he can’t honestly be expecting Hov to help him…with that idea of his nonetheless.

Hov can’t even get Cole a release date, and where’d JayE go?

  7. E aka Mac with the Cheese Says:

aside from the post with Red Cafe massaging his pectorals….most other Maino posts seem to have him posted up next to actresses or hoodrats….I respect Maino for that

^Man. The downfall for a lot of these guys is they forget this is a business. And at the end of the day, all the favors and looking-out for each other, and everything else don’t matter. Its about whats in that contract.

DOC, like snoop, and all the others mistook their friendship and their business relationship.

It wouldn’t have been a big pop hit, but a big rap hit, like Start It Up was for Banks.

    Exactly.

I had this convo with my wife last night. She puts in extra hours at work, working from home, doing all sorts of extra shit for work, without getting overtime. I’m like why? Why put out more than they’re gonna compensate you for?

Then she gets mad when she asks for a different schedule and they tell her no, thats not allowed in your contract.

Yeah and it sounds like alot of bitterness on his end too. Although I kinda understand his reasonging for “Hey I’mma help my dude (nH) out because I know he gonna help me out one day”

But in actuality, I guess it doesn’t work that way anymore.

    Still, DOC>>>>>

If I’m not getting paid for overtime, rest assured at 5:30, i’m out. I take my hour for lunch everyday, even if i don’t leave my desk, I don’t do shit work related for 1 hour.

Cuz trust, when they want to let you go, all the overtime and favors and considerate things you did for the job don’t matter. They pat you on the back, say thanks, and have security standing over your shoulder while you collect your belongings

  24. DJ Chase Says:

Yeah and it sounds like alot of bitterness on his end too

^Wouldn’t you be bitter. Its real tough to see the nigga that you helped get to the level of fame, stature, success that they’re at, and then when you need a helping hand, they chuck the deuce and keep it moving.

he can say money aint the issue, but trust, its the root of the issue

This is true. Especially for those of us who are salary. But I get asked to work on certain things on the weekend. Although I get to do it from home, it still sucks.

True, but the part where he said he used to do ‘E’ and was getting so fucked up that he lost track of all the business dealings he was involved in.

He fucked up his own money

I never saw any billboard potential in that. Maybe a minor hit.

Kizzas and kizzettes won’t have liked that song. And of course, THEY control what’s on the radio

    ^^^^

I respectfully disagree. Sure, it’s not the obvious pop grab that ‘B&Y’ is, but I think it has a great sing-a-long hook (I stay bumping that shit in traffic with NO shame. ROFL) and the beat is nice as fuck. Plus the subject matter is just bland enough to sneak it on to radio. At the very least it could be a great club song. And you know old black folks fuck with a wailing as nigga in the hook…

Speaking of wailing, Outkast’s ‘Wailin’ from ATLiens might have the best bassline I’ve heard on a rap song. That shit is amazing. Matter of fact, Kast stay with dope basslines…

^Fuck that. My last gig before i left NY, i remember early in the year, i stayed there one night working on a brief that needed to be on the judges desk by 9 am the next morning, and the atty who was responsible, clearly under estimated the time it would take to get shit done. So we ended up staying till like 7 in the morning to get it done. I went home slept for like 3 hours and was back in the office at noon, only to stay till midnight again to do another project. Countless times i did extra shit throughout the year for others too.

Comes time for me to leave, i gave them 1 months notice that I was leaving and moving to DC. i had 1 week of vacay time left, so i said that i’d use that week as my last week, and stay home and pack for my move. Just so happened that on the wednesday of that vacay week, they released the date that they would disperse the bonuses which was the monday after my week is up.

They told me that since i wouldnt be on the payroll by that 1 business day that I wouldnt be eligible for my bonus. I could either not take it, or switch my last day and report to the office on that monday.

After that, I learned not to give anything extra to companies without compensation, cuz at the end of the day, its always JUST BUSINESS, as they say
