Not to say CL2 wasn’t crack.

Where did the Meyhem post go?

    19.

when Rae rhymed on C.R.E.A.M. or “Criminology” or “Incarcerated Scarfaces”, Sun was growling and spitting and snarling his bars into the mic…

on OB4CL2 and lately, it seems like at times he just saying his rhymes while looking at his watch….

i liked that Butter Knives joint from a few days ago, and when he’s inspired, Rae is still one of the all time GOATs… but he mostly sounds tired and methodical now…

“he dont have that same enthusiasm and fire in his bars that he used to..”

^ I think this is purposely done… reason being… a smoother rational flow is something all the GOATs possess. Rapping in your normal speaking voice is that longevity.

    all ill…

after that, i cant remember none of them other joints…

and there was 25 – 30 songs on that LP depending whether you downloaded or copped from itunes..

    not a good ratio

I used to walk into my sisters room and catch her slam dancing to K7.

Jay Z on Empire state of Mind, manages to have that enthusiasm you speak of without raising the octaves of his voice, he simply just rides the beat without fault, for that added effect.

Word. Key to being a GOAT: mastering the calm, slow flow.

Cosign. The other joint that leaked off that LP is crack too.

I copped that Ghost last week, listened to it once, and haven’t listened again. Never thought I’d say that about a Dennis Coles album.

what if Busta Rhymes or Billy Danze or Lil Fame or Tupac or Chuck D or KRS1 did that?

or if the so called nahright legends, Ludacris and Eminem did that?

or if comment section stars, RIGZ or BSG did that..

the calm slow flow works fo niggas that rap that way…

but if you get famious spitting like a beast, and you soften the flow up… you gonna confuse and possibly alienate your fanbase…

Rae got famous with the rapidfire complex angry delivery..

he need to go back to what worked..

duets with Justin Bieber & Big Boi not working

^ its live while it last, we love the passion… but it soon dies down, and comes off kinda gimmicky. Think about all the classic Albums.. something they all had in common is a bit of normalcy.

  18. cOLD Says:

Land i’m not saying enthusiam aint great, I personally love that shit. But for something to age well… less is more.

that cd had sooo many bangers

I cant remember the names of them tho.

I can listen to every song except one or 2 at the end.

Me and my boy almost got into a fight when he said OBFCL2 wasnt that good.

But guess why he said it wasnt that good

    … wait for it….

he said the beats were trash.

I pulled over on the freeway.
