Video: Nas & Damian Marley Record Dubplates @ Tuff Gong Studio

Here’s the second of Nas and Jr. Gong’s “Jamaican Journey” vignettes that are debuting over at HipHopDX this week. In this clip, shot by photographer B+, they hang out and lay down some vocals at the legendary Tuff Gong Studios at the Bob Marley Museum in Jamaica.

Previously: Nas & Damian Marley – Hope Road (Video)

Also, if you have a Facebook account you can peep some behind the scenes footage from that TDK Chronicles clip that came out yesterday, and a deleted scene after the jump.

Nah, he`s got plenty of respect outside of white people although I admit his biggest and most pious supporters are white people who no doubt overrate him.

He`s respected by rappers and other active creators in the hip hop musical community.

The fame and money Dre made through Em allowed him to hire some of the best co producers and instrumentalists in music..from scott stroch to khalil to focus etc. Dre hadnt actually “produced” something by himself for at least 12 years. Em turned Dre into a BRAND, which was used to sell other peoples beats under Dres name..thus making it seem like “Dre” made a comeback producing, when in reality he just orchestrated the label and mixed the beats

Saying that any shade of PR doesn’t like a giant ass is comical. Is this about Fantasia?? Lmao. You still not over that? To be clear I’d fuck the dog shit outta Fantasia, I just don’t fawn over her purported beauty like you do. I think it’s time to let it go. She has sex appeal, no doubt, but I don’t find her BAD like you do.

Real talk though, most black fans respect Eminem. But we also know that his technically impressive verses lack the innate swing that we expect from the best rappers. And he indulges in some subject matter that doesn’t really fly with the black community. I don’t care what that lady did to you, you can’t shit on Ma Dukes like that. Plus all that junkie and horrorcore shit would never get a pass with a black MC.

This. People say the same thing about Kanye, Drake. It`s not true where I live, and I seriously doubt most black people elsewhere are so intensely political when deciding what songs sound nice in their ears.

If there`s a class of rappers who I don`t have too many black people for fans (at least here) its these underground rappers that spring up and get e-famous for 6 months.
