Hmm..BP has def stood the test of time..mbdtf def has replay value tho…most of the songs get better with time (especially blame game and power)….they r both classics, mbdtf is like the blueprint of yeezys career…
Interestingly, both albums had drama around them (takeoever on bp and Ye being blackballed frm the industry prior to mbdtf release).
BP had a bigger impact on hiphop, but mbdtf is a better put together album. Both albums took the artists careers to the next level.

First impressions are always the most important.
Ethet starts off with “Fuck Jay-Z”…
    Like i said, first impressions….

Takeover has more quotables than ether, hands down.
Ether> Takeover….but alot of it was to do with the whole “underdog” effect Nas had with ether…a phenix rising from the ashes…a king comming back for his crown..
But as a DISS record, takeover woulda been just a potent as ethef without that underwhelmong first verse

  110. Mr. Iceberg Slim Says:

What people fail to realize is that takeover has nothing to do with ether, Takeover was in response to the FIRST diss that nas dropped, where nas was calling jayz sisquo. One of the smartest things nas did was wait MONTHS after takeover dropped before he dropped ether. One of the biggest mistakes jayz made was responding to ether, with a freestyle a couple of days later. Ether had the whole omg someone responded to jayz and it was crazy funny. But if you go back now, ever jayz diss was filled with all facts that people vouched for (even the tech that jayz showed and saved nas and large prof. ass with) But nas was smart, he had a decent ether beat, made funny ass jokes and got a jayz. But, jayz last diss blueprint2, is one of the most underrated diss songs of all time

its just opinions at the end of the day….but i personally feel the first verse was weak…too ambigious, not many quotables…too simple

  115. Mr. Iceberg Slim Says:

i always found it funny that ether used pac voice in the FUCK JAYZ, But whats funny is pac rides nas in that same exact song….smh

  116. Mr. Iceberg Slim Says:

Another not said fact, the blueprint 2, might lyrically be jayz’s best album (maybe behind rd), but that album is a m.c dream. A true mc can appreciate that album

  117. SPITGAME Says:

Since we talking about blueprint, if you ever really listen to the lines in renegade, jigga speaking straight to a ninja that had to hustle and nvr had shit….
