By the The Game sucks now. I used to like him in the The Documentary/Advocate days. But he name drops so much that he can’t fucking rap.

  3. SPITGAME Says:

I make ya bitch crew, shit stools,
I put the Pis-tol in ya mouth and pull then I feed you to the pit bulls,
    Dont even talk about guns,
the only 9 you got is a 5 dollar bill and 4 ones,
So I dont give a fuck what none a yall niggas say,
cuz anything that cant penetrate richochets,
rhymin wit me on a record?
U might as well as died and went to heaven cuz my rhyme method is like a medievel torture method,
4 limbs tied to 4 horses alll pullin in different direction,
fast or slow flows connect like electrodes,
I make cassette tape decks blow when Im in wreck mode,
    explode, leavin areas abandoned,
wit more radiation than behind the spots UFOs landed in

HW-Can u give a example of what a record contract looks or reads like these day? I kno these niggas ain eatin all like that! Rapin U Records. Plus these days ppl barely sellin

  9. DJ Chase Says:

Cashmere, you’re spitting reality, but two things

    1) most niggas don’t know about this to even consider negotiating this; and

    2) Label heads hold all the leverage in those negotiations, cuz rappers WANT and think they NEED to be on a major label, so even if they knew about this, they wouldn’t have the leverage to stipulate that into their contract

  10. DJ Chase Says:

Percy had the leverage in his negotiations with labels, cuz he didn’t need them to make money, he was doing that without them. Labels just wanted a piece of the pie, so they were just trying to get on. This is why he told them to fuck off early in his major label negotiations, cuz he wanted to keep and own all his masters

  11. Free J Says:

@BSG – im a check that EP out when i get off work and email u and jihad my consensus

i think youd like what im saying.

regardless, there needs to eb more honest help, but thats just not for rap, thats overall in this life.

that would solve much of the issue

  17. Bricktop Says:

All legit gripes with modern unions. But here’s the thing: without a union, the common worker has zero leverage/ power against the upper 1% of America who would prefer to have said workers working for free. It’s just the way it is. Unless you’re part of that one percent, then I suggest you drop the anti-union jargon. Just free advice. . .

    and he wasnt real flashy

  20. Harlem World Says:

    @ spitgame

thats what ive been tryna preach since the 90’s

artists only blow when they have a machine within a machine

drake already had gee roberson & tmko lawyers in his corner long before he signed with universal republic

dmx had dee/waah/amelia moore before he got with def jam

and so on and so forth

  21. Harlem World Says:

you need to find or build a good team – rap is just like sports imo

rza didnt build wu tang on his own – he had mook/cedric muhammad/power/divine

    mad other examples too

  22. fuck boy music Says:

fuck having unions for rappers…if rappers are stupid…and dumb with their money..its their own fault…

whats the point of having audemars piguet? 9 cars that are bentley, rolls royce, maybach music cars, aston martins, buggatti? having 1 million in fake jewelry? 3 or 4 baby mommas….and cribs in miami and la?

    come on b…excess is stress

    never said i was anti-union

    just palying devils advocate b.

you cant disagree that the original ideas of unions were there for real shit, and the problem isnt the employees its the union heads. maybe not all of them, but a lot of them are very corrupt.

but hey, if you lose a little to keep your job, money, etc… it works.

nothing is perfect, i know this, i was just proviingt he other side.

with people on here talking about rappers/athletes getting screwed or whatnot, i felt it was neceessary to just comment on the other side.

unions really depend on where, what, who is working.

Thats wrong with you average niggas.. fucking peons.. but me tho, ima be making moves on a global scale.. as soon as i get this loan from my brother

  65. mcb Says:

im tellin you… an honest CPA, a smaller time WHO HAS HTE EXPERIENCE AND SUPPORT/COMPANY to address the needs of this superstar, all while keeping it on a low level…

    that would help immesnely

that and someone who knows how tokeep them from blowing all they $$. like i said tho, no CPA can tell them that, i mean, cats gonna spend it. he needs someone close to him, that can be like “yo fam, just a reminder that Jewish CPA was saying you gonnahave to pay the govt $X next week, want me to see what our cash situation at? in the meantine we can hit up, grab a meal and chop this out,???”

something like that. they can still ball, cuz fuck, how much time do an average rapper have in this game. even if eh broke afterwards, somtimes it was worth it. now heavy in debt, maybe not… thats why keeping those major obligations near by, not hagning over their heads, would be so important.

it allows for the rapper/athlete/whatever to still live awild live, if they CHOOSE TO DO SO, but having them also understand that they got this official shit to pay, and that its NOT AN OPTION

  66. Free J Says:

@BSG – maybe u should try to talk to dude now so u have an idea of what to do in the future.
