Vast Aire’s flow is so unimaginably wack, you can’t believe any producer ever gave him a beat. But he’s still living off that Rawkus legacy, so I guess this is where we are. Co-sign but they couldn’t, though. They didn’t get it to Chris Gehringer of Sterling Sound soon enough. Dude mastered the album and did a killer job on it and if 9 am wasn’t mastered, too, the whole shit would have been off. On the low, Drake is a perfectionist. That’s why TML sounds so fucking good IMO. Every time I listen to Fancy, I pick up on a new sound effect that elevates the whole shit. And I hated that song when the album came out! But it grew on me like a motherfucker. The only song I can’t fuck with to this day is Thank Me Now – that song was a fucking mistake and half, and I think the fact that he ended the album with such a weak song caused a lot of his reviews to be sub-par. But he jocks Yeezy and wanted to do a talking joint, but don’t nobody wanna hear Drake talk like they wanna hear Yeezy talk. Live and learn…

I bought TML on iTunes and it has 9AM in Dallas as the final track…

I also think Thanks Me Now is one of the better album tracks. The worst tracks by far are Karaoke and Cece’s Interlude.

sometimes niggas just dont see eye to eye…

BSG, Jihad & Lito are good enough at what they do, to where they dont NEED eskay’s promotion anyway…

@Kev, I think its better than aight. I always heard the end of the year albums by Def Jam were tax write offs, but I am starting to beleive that now. Apollo Kids, Donnie G: Don Gorilla, the new Redman all came out with little promotion beyond the Internet. Sad thing is I actually like Redman and Sheek but I just know these albums are certified trash from the few songs I heard

On an unrelated note, that Gangrene album is criminally slept on. On a negative note, I can’t fuckin stand Lupe. No Eskay

    ^^^
i def liked the Gangrene album and is slept on, most of the tracks are very ill.

i think it is prob what they (ALC and oh no!) wanted as an album. but that being said, not a large amount of people are gonna like most of the album. but the fans will…

i know i did. especially them beats. its way better in the car by the way

  112. Bx Blue Says:

Co Sign Jackson7. I too think T.I, Tupac and Wiz are retardedly overrated. But lets add to the supremely overrated list:
    1. Tupac
    2. T.I
    3. Max B (by the internets mostly)
    4. Wiz
    5. 95% of Southern rappers – too many to list

  113. Hopp Says:

Yo Orion, can the hoe selection on Wiz’s music videos count as a redeeming quality ?

i aint played it once, since like september
    ^
funny thing is – your stannery and constant gem dropping is what made me give tml a spin. It seemed good at the time, given the incredibly low expectations I had for it, but I haven’t played tml since the summer.

ive never even watched a Wiz LaKeisha video, so i cant even comment on his ho selection…

  122. Bx Blue Says:

Calling Tupac the best ever is fuckin retarded. In what catagory? Fake thug? Dead rapper? Actor/rapper? Cause he no where close to best rapper period. I mean he barely outshines the Outlaws lyrically on some songs. Cmon man, don’t let your man crush get in the way of facts. Just cause you cried to your Pac poster on the wall growing up talkin about “sniff, sniffle..Pac gets my struggle, he’s a revolutionary”. No, no he was not.

but Amp, while i agree with you assessment of Pac’s place in black culture.. that has more to do with how he presented himself as a street dude, than it had to do with his MC skills..

the girls loved him, and the niggas bit his style…

but them same broads dont NEVER listen to that niggas songs… and most of the dudes that emulated him were the hapless type follower type niggas, that follow ANY latest trend…

Pac was a trendsetter, but not extremely talented as an MC..
