His bars were definitely more rich on this LP, but, the overall quality of the music as a whole, wasn’t as good and as polished as the work from Graduation IMO.

He’s improved over time, but there are still too many points where he falls off beat or crams too many words into a bar or says something really corny. He’s got bars, but he has a ton of flaws too. Most crucially, he has the flow of someone that’s trying really hard to rap well.
For the best/elite rappers, flow ought to be effortless.
That said, Kanye is a great artist and a legend.

What bothers me the most are the occasional corny lines. But that has been almost a calling card of his throughout his career, I just accept that as the price of admission because he does infuse his rhymes with his sense of humor. But his rhymes are almost always interesting and have some form of theme. Even his non sequitur rhymes (So Appalled, Glenwood) have dope lines. Definitely makes good/entertaining songs, despite the sometimes not-great beat/rhymes/flow.
