Mikkey Halsted – Dope Boy City (Prod. by No I.D.)

Mikkey shot over this latest installment of his Super Tuesdays series yesterday but we slept on it. This is a leftover from the sessions for The Dark Room and Photo Album.

Those shits SHOULD NOT have been albums.

    What difference would that make?

They just gained hella fans this year by dropping free shit. People go see their shows cuz they know the product good.

Pilot Talk is dope too. Paid albums or not, they got a good squad over there.

    ^^
if your talking bout things liek George Kush da mixtape, i agree 100%.

that mixtape was money, i had to double check to make sure I wasn’t stealing it ahahah

    Everybody recording in DD172 >>>>>>

    >word. dame needs to open up his comeback/reinvention on a bigger scale already cause that lane is moving for him pretty well.

^ Possibly. But I like where that hold movement is currently at. There was a clip of him on WSHH sittin’ with Wiz, Krit, and Asher sayin’, “If we stick together we don’t need THEM!”. And I absolutely agree. Using his studio as an imprint and gettin’ Spitta that P&D deal with DefJam was a great look. It’s turning into a cult for real. I think next year he’s gonna be plastered all over magazine articles with interviews about his new organic foundation.

    co-sign Billz

That shit is a movement & when people realize they are making money it could potentially change this industry a little bit.

I really applaud all of them. Even Wiz for his deal. I think he has a plan to make that work for him. He has def gained some exposure from that. Maybe giving out free music is better than getting it stolen. LOL

    re-coupe on everything else.

  13. why? Says:

Dame and Creative Control and the artists they feature got a feeling of an underground vibe but really using the internet to spread good music and visuals. i guess they not moving to the next level for a reason. Not sure what it is but I like that whole thing going on at DD172.

  14. kevfrescura de talco Says:

yea on second thought you right billz. let his ish bubble quietly and then…..

it jus seems like he’s been counted out but dammit if ol boy ain bring hip hop half the hardcore flavor they enjoy today. real talk.
