    I’m talking more the celebration he’s having that he’s reached that echelon, and how he’s blinded by that in he same sense that many of those fans won’t buy his disc, wont purchase his music in general, and are flimsy about attending his shows.

    Its not about the sales to mark an artist’s credibility, but the sales are a reflection of fan response, fan loyalty, and devotation to your craft.
