Apple needs to stop playing and hook up flash on the iPhone. This is some bullshit…

I like this album, but how are they defining “success”

  6. Gerantology of the Tx Says:

It’s a success because they promoted the album on their own via internet and viral videos and moved over 10k albums in the 1st week with no major label. So you do the math… 10k x $9= $90k minus 20% for pressing n distribution and thats just a weeks worth of calculations. Not including show money… Spitta’s eating good.

    ^^^ business FAIL.

  10. Doogz Says:

How much you think Spitta makes for doing a concert in a decent sized venue on the east coast?

  11. MillerTime Says:

8,800 the first week. I know over here in Seattle we didn’t get a full shipment of them until 2 weeks after the original release date. They fucked up the distribution big time on the west coast. I went to 3 different record stores and only one had it.. and they only got 4 (?) copies of it. I’m sure the total sales numbers were pretty good. That was only his first major label release too.. Jet Files and This Aint No Mixtape were pretty much independent, were they not?
