    Black hoods, cops ‘n projects
    sewers flooded with foul blockage
The gutter’s wild and every child watches
Changin top locks with ripped off hinges
doors kicked off, drunks stag off smirnoff, wipe your beard off
Crippled dope fiends in wheelchairs stare
vision blurry, cus buried deep in they mind are hidden stories
Bet he’s a mirror image of that 70’s era
finished for the rest of his life, till he fades out
The liquor store workers miss him but then it plays out
so many ways out the hood but no signs say out

    ^^

    COTDAMN!!!!!!!!!

    mase > masse

  9. Chief Ali AKA The One Who Stay Building Says:

Lost tapes are just all the songs that leaked from I Am (which was supposed to be the death and rebirth of Nas I AM/Nastradamus). Lil Homie, instead of simply dropping his shit as it was, scraps all the AMAZING tracks and releases Hate Me Now and the musical abortion known as Nastradamus.

    ———-

word on here was that he had to scrap those joints b/c they leaked and were bootlegged heavily, which could explain why he went and did new material for those albums (as questionable as the replacement joints were).

music videos fell the fuck off. i dont remember the last time i seen some really ill shit like “hate me now”

^Is this the greatest hip hop/rap beat ever?

This was when Pharrell was better than Dr. Dre.

  12. cOLD Says:

you and a lot of other people
Im a Nas stan, but some of those beats, he just “wastes” good rhymes over them..

^ why do people assume this is a mistake or due to lack of having a ear for beats…

its for the listener (c) Rakim.

I think if you gon talk about beats by neptunes, the “Black Magic” beat was their best….

I wonder how much money Jay had to pay for that shit….That shit is WAYYYYYY underated….

^ didnt you cosign the Massacre?

    ^^^

What does one have to do with the other? I still have my Og Nastradamus bootleg, and it shits on the retail version of I Am and Nastradamus– this is factual.

And yea, I did co-sign the Massacre. For a 20 track album, 15 listenable songs is more than adequate for me to give it a co-sign. Matter of fact, its not a stretch to say the 50’s catalogue has aged pretty well, but most people don’t let their wishy-washy feelings stop them from actually enjoying the music.

my thing is, if this is now common knowledge then why do people still take this negative stance against Nas and his catalog?

obviously he could have delivered, and he did eventually, so whats the problem?
