Lol – they’ll be going crazy on James North right now. If I was a gambling man, I’d put some money on a small team to win the whole thing. If Italy and France couldn’t get their shit together over the course of three matches – all it takes is one mistake from the rest of the favourites and they’re going home.

The projections are in. According to the one-day sales, Eminem’s seventh solo studio album, Recovery, is expected to sell around 590,000-615,000 copies in its first week, reports hitsdailydouble.com.

The album will also debut at the No. 1 position on The Billboard 200 charts making it Em’s sixth No. 1 album. Last year’s Relapse, which also came in at the top spot, had 2009’s highest selling first-week numbers for a hip-hop album with 608,000.

If the projections prove to be true, Em will be this year’s overall biggest first-week seller. Check XXLMag.com next Wednesday (June 30) to get the official Nielsen SoundScan sales figures.

****SMH @ blogs puttin’ niggas’ business out there….I’d be heated….

In recent months, Nas’ problems with his ex-wife Kelis have become well publicized. There have been issues relating to the divorce as well as child and spousal support. Apparently, on top of all of that, Nas owes mortgage payments on Kelis’ house.

According to TMZ, the Queensbridge MC is behind $52,989.22 in payments for the home where Kelis lives. In order to catch up to the amount that he should have paid by now, Nas will be paying nearly double what he normally would per month—a shade over $14,000, rather than a shade under $8,000. The heightened payments will end after seven months or if the two sell the house, which they are attempting to do. Nas also owes an initial $17,500, according to the legal document obtained by TMZ.

Also revealed in the document is that Nas owes just over $299,000 in spousal support.

In related news Nas and Damian Marley’s collaborative effort, Distant Relatives, came in on the charts at No. 38 this week, having sold nearly 125,00 copies since it’s release.

Scared money don’t make none, Beezy. Out of the teams who are left only Argentina, Portugal and the Netherlands have played to their full potential as of yet. And as you saw today – all it takes is one off day and the team is on their way home…

    >>true @ scared money…and I wouldn’t say Portugal has played to their potential. Sure they thumped North Korea, but they drew scoreless in the first game as I recall.

If any small teams were to win, I’d pick Paraguay or Uruguay. I mean this is clearly a South American tourney.

Argentina be the next giant to go…they look old…and their defense is subpar. They just haven’t been challenged yet.

Pahrump, Nevada (CNN) — Ron Wayne is usually just another gambler at the Nugget Hotel & Casino in Nevada. He comes here a couple of days a week to try his luck on the video poker machine. But on this trip, he drew some curious onlookers, as he was escorted by a CNN camera crew. A gift-shop worker asked him if he’s famous.

“Well, I’m one of the founders of Apple Computer,” Wayne responded.

Wayne, 76, is used to the puzzled looks. He said people assume that he must be living in a mansion.

“I’m living off my Social Security and I do a modest trade in collectors’ stamps and coins,” he said.

The irony of being inside a casino is not lost on Wayne. After all, if his short-lived career at Apple had gone differently, he would be holding a different kind of winnings: 10 percent of Apple’s stock.

Today, that stock would be worth $22 billion.

Wayne left Apple for only $800.

“What can I say? You make a decision based on your understanding of the circumstances, and you live with it,” he said.

^I read a similar story about an accountant once.

He did some work for Microsoft when it was in its infancy…like $6,000 worth of work. They didn’t have alot of cash, so they offered him stock. He thought it would always be worthless, so he insisted they pay him with the cash.

At the end of the day, the stock he would’ve received would’ve been worth hundreds of millions.

    Bless his heart (c) RJ

@ Beezy- I’m sure that ish happens a lot more than we know; like, surely that kid from Facebook had a few collaborators who went uncredited…business is cutthroat as it is, but dude cut his own throat for $800- he has no choice but to live with the decision, but I know that if that were me, I’d wake up pissed off, clean a handgun with my eyes closed, swim with sharks, stop, drop, and roll across a crowded downtown intersection, wait outside of the hoodest Foot Locker I can find to step on niggas’ Jordans, drink till I nodded off (none),dream about how pissed I am, rinse and repeat (none)
