June 15th, 2010 – ‘Your Favorite Rapper’s Favorite Producer J. Cardim is set to release his new compilation-style project Dice Music Group: The IN Crowd in the coming weeks. The star-studded project, a follow up to last year’s critically acclaimed Your Favorite Rapper’s Favorite Producer (hosted by DJ Envy) is presented by premier blog crew the New Music Cartel (nahright.com, 2dopeboyz.com, onsmash.com, youheardthatnew.com, dajaz1.com, xclusiveszone.com and missinfo.tv) and hosted by mixtape DJ extraordinaire, Evil Empire.
J. Cardim, a New Yorker by way of Rio De Janeiro and Boston has seen his stock rise over the course of the past 12 months, adding hip hop heavy-weights Ludacris, Akon, Gucci Mane, Jadakiss, Joe Budden, among others, to his already impressive resume which includes Lil’ Wayne, Fat Joe, Talib Kweli, Styles P and more. In addition to working with many talented artists, Cardim won Loud.com’s producer competition, receiving a 3-song production deal with Universal Motown and a $15,000 advance. He was also fortunate enough to contribute music to Dr Dre’s much-anticipated Detox album via the Ludacris-referenced “OGs Theme” (included as a bonus track on Dice Music Group: The IN Crowd).
While last year’s Your Favorite Rapper’s Favorite Producer was essentially an anthology of J. Cardim’s past work, Dice Music Group: The IN Crowd is comprised almost entirely of new and unreleased music. “With YFRFP we wanted to draw people’s attention to songs that they had probably already heard but didn’t know J produced. It was his introduction to the world as his own brand. With Dice Music Group: The IN Crowd we want to do two things. One, we want to give people an album of brand new music they have never heard before from artists that they already enjoy and two, we wanted to showcase the artists that are signed to our production company, Dice Music Group. In many instances we did both of these things at once by putting together exclusive songs featuring a known artist collaborating with a Dice Music artist. At the end of the day these artists are the future of our company. This is their coming out party and a precursor to their own projects” says Zack Einhorn, J. Cardim’s manager and partner in production company, Dice Music Group.
The track list for Dice Music Group: The IN Crowd will be released shortly and boasts appearances from Ludacris, Jadakiss, Akon, Joe Budden, Styles P, Juelz Santana and many more as well as Dice Music Group artists Ariez Onasis, TUGE Palermo, Sha Stimuli and G-Eyez.
