i really don’t trust the look of this dude.
he had a couple hits and some dope features but i can’t even listen to this kid again. i try but there is something in me that repels the dude.
i don’t think he is real.
    and real should recognize real.

  27. Erik Says:

I honestly believe, in my heart and soul, that Drake is the worst thing that has happened to hip hop in the past 10 years. You can call it hate, he can sell a million records in a week, but what he represents is the worst elements of hip-hop: commercialism, more style than substance, and the music industry as a whole. No matter the sales of “Thank me Later,” it is a weak album recorded by an extremely weak artist.

lol whoa, hole up no2. I’m not his biggest fan or anything, but I think that hyperbole is a little much.

  35. Shooter Says:

The annoying thing about Drake is that he’s a medium level talent being pushed as the “new face of hip hop” (c) The New York Times

  36. why? Says:

Drake can sell a million albums but then that’s just a million people who are buying OK to shitty music. People on here acting like they gonna have TML on there ipods and in their cars but after a week to a month max but that whole album is forgettable. Too many good album releases happening this year and people declaring this album of the year already. Maybe top 5 HIP HOP albums so far but not even top 5 best overall.

Also SMH at people enjoying his music but not liking the event. Shit is free, 2 out of the three (not Hanson assholes) artists are ok, and shit like the comment above says a lot of girls gonna be there so yeah.

  37. abortatron Says:

  39. kevfrescura de talco Says:

in the past ten years ja rules music was one of the worst things to happen to hip hop.

rappers who can’t sing came out the woodwork on some juilliard voice major graduate shit. and most of it wasn’t good

Em didn’t after Fif took it and ran.

3k and pharrell made whole albums out of it.

once i heard t.i.s’ ‘whateva you like’ i knew the standard was embedded in cement.

but it aint gonna make an R&B listening chic that doesn’t pay attention to lyrics to not buy into a rap nicca she deems is cute.(nhjic)

^yeah the book is my favorite of all time. I wrote multiple college essays on it but I don’t really fux with movie theaters so I missed it there and last week I was reading a book about the wire and it mentioned he had the role as the thief so I dled it.

  45. why? Says:

Worst thing from Hip Hop in the last ten years was the ignorant ring tone raps. But I applaud Soulja Boy for being able to make millions off songs teens with the attention span of a three year old could listen to.

  46. kevfrescura de talco Says:

but u can’t deny that TML is a solid effort…

    ^
nah it really is. even w/some uh the nahkis complaints that it sounds generic(it doesn’t IMO) that dude doesn’t rhyme real(how fake do you have to be to speak cohesively on money, hoes and fame, smh) and that he looks funny(he does), doesn’t take away from the fact that theres nothing that sounds that hip-hop and rnb aaaand pop so effortlesssly.

not even ‘the love below’, with DF production, 3k crooning w/1 or 2 16s, sounds like it.
