whats special about ghosts flow.. its how he uses world play to make your mind “see” the lyrics… not sure if i explained it right…

dude is mad talented.. and still slept on…

    Killer Mike > T.I.

    ^^^

    Easy.

  4. The Shot Clock Says:

No I.D. is top 10 doa producers

  5. DC (District of Chase) Says:

nah thats an understandable statement.. not everyone gets his flow at all… i can see how one would think that.. i can see how alot of niggas would think wu tang wasnt listenable… it takes a certain ear.

^Pretty much. Thats how i used to explain to cats that Ol Dirty was nasty on the mic (none), but if you didn’t quite get the fact that he wasn’t always on time with the beat, you’d miss all of the shit that he was saying.

  6. DC (District of Chase) Says:

why did ghost succeed where all the other wu niggas failed?

    ^^
Honestly, I just think he’s more talented than the other cats. Better writer, more vivid imagination, more understanding of the importance of flow. Also, no homo, but women love him.

^I think his imagination, from story telling, to use of the funniest words/phrases sets him apart. Plus like he said, coming up, he was never thought of as the nicest in the crew, so he worked hard at crafting his darts to the point that you had to fuck with him

  7. DOM IZZO Says:

still LMAO at Alex Rodriguez hitting that line drive off that pitchers’ head on saturday… that shit bounced so far off his head into right field that son got a double… and he was running the bases slowly while for praying for the dude… i just knew that pitcher was dead… thast nigga aint move for about 6 minutes…

ALex STAY around some drama, sweartogod …
    ^^^^^^^^^
Why pitching inside to hitters is so important….let these juice’d up hitters get comfortable to lean over the plate, hitting with those light maple bats it generate maad bat speed…dodging 150mph line drives is tough….if not a baseball flying at pitcher it will be a piece of the bat that got broken off that impale someone in the neck….hasn’t happen yet but its bound to

  22. b-ease Says:

diehard wu fans are the masses, if you have not noticed…. Universally they sell out stadiums.

    ^^
Naw. Like, not at all. I remember Ghost performing at Yardfest at HU in ’05 and the crowd giving the blank stare) (I was going apeshit tho. It doesnt get more “masses” than HU.

Wu Tang was a cult group that thru a perfect storm of circumstances became the most popular and best rap group on the planet. Since the late 90s, they have become an actual cult group.

  23. R.J.Orion Says:

    oh noooo…

    “The Sting” >>>> “The Swarm”

Warcloud aka Holocaust, from west coast Black Knights >

“Spit That G” with Cappadonna, Prodigal Sunn and Solomon Childs >

“Take Up Space” – Lord Superb & Solomon Childs >

“Spend Money” – Lord Superb >

    “Rollin” – Black Knights & RZA >

  24. Jersey*made*me Says:

^Niggas really can’t see the wu though.

Nah,too much material. My question is do they have another respectable album as a unit,or has that ship sailed?

  25. Eastern_Digital aka Nahright's Fantasy Football champ Says:

maybe lyrical content, yes … but RZA sometimes do be sounding like he rapping with a mouth full of CapNCrunch cereal

    ^^
that’s what i was trying to say. Rza rapping is like abstract art but with the difference that these painters can paint photorealistically(=Jay/Em/p. Monch flow) which Rza isnt capable of.

  26. cOLD Says:

^ but that was ghost by himself, we’re speaking fo the Wu as a whole. So you’re telling me, if the Wu were to go on tour next week, they wouldnt sell out stadiums?

  27. b-ease Says:

    ^^
And that, my friend, is the question.

  28. Jersey*made*me Says:

    ^

good point..if the whole clan came together right now, with the right promotion they would sell out a few stadiums.

  30. b-ease Says:

So you’re telling me, if the Wu were to go on tour next week, they wouldnt sell out stadiums?

    ^^
That’s exactly what I’m telling you. The entire clan went on a CLUB tour about 3 or 4 years ago.

  31. cOLD Says:

do they have another respectable album as a unit,or has that ship sailed?

Nah,too much material. My question is do they have another respectable album as a unit,or has that ship sailed?

^as long as they can all put the bullshit to the side, they can always put out good albums. 8 diagrams wasn’t what i expected, but its still a really good album

  34. R.J.Orion Says:

Royce was taking shots at Budden, Joell Ortiz and Mickey Ortiz… Bar Exam 3 has to be thoroughly listened to…

  35. R.J.Orion Says:

    Mickey Factz > Mickey Ortiz

  36. Jersey*made*me Says:

8 Diagrams pissed a lot of people off, even group members.

  37. cOLD Says:

That’s exactly what I’m telling you. The entire clan went on a CLUB tour about 3 or 4 years ago.

^ Iunno ease, like you said the Wu has a cult following, that spreads across the globe. From white middle aged men in business attire, to a flock of artsy european bitches, the average thuggy hip hop head, and your intellectual bunch.

  38. Jersey*made*me Says:

Wu can sell out stadiums abroad in their sleep. Hip hop ain’t dead,it’s overseas.

  39. cOLD Says:

killer mike should drop the killer off his name. Just saying.

I never knew cOLD was a Wu stan. Kewl.

  41. R.J.Orion Says:

i loved a few joints on 8 Diagrams… but there were too many that i didnt like on there … it was cause of the lack of killer beats that wutang used to be known for …

    8 diagrams started off well….first 5-6 joints were cool…but went downhill…quick

  47. DC (District of Chase) Says:

it was cause of the lack of killer beats that wutang used to be known for …

^This. the production was not what we’re used to hearing from the wu, but lyrically, that shit knocks
