Wow, so I’m on a Spaceship with “Zone Out”? Dang.

Nah, you’re definately not the first person I’ve heard say that. One of my friends was a Jay stan and he would use that song as proof God’s Son was wack.

The 90’s called Rob. They wanted your album back.

Zone Out wouldn’t be bad if Nas’ weedcarriers didn’t possess the worst flows in history. They sound like Jay Elec in an interview on that track.

    —————–

true… Jungle’s verse wasnt too bad, but Wiz’ verse made me cringe in embarrassment for him…

and its true, that song aint for everyone… niggas either hate it or love it… prolly cause of the unorthodox intergallactic beat

Salaam Remi is a pretty good producer IMO.

honestly i dont remember the weed carrier verses i jus skipped it and listened to Nas part.

Theres a rock type track on that new Styles that has that alternative love it or hate it effect

  9. b-ease Says:

Zone Out sounds like some PE shit to me, so I always dug it. Not to mention that Nas lets off a few rounds in Killa’s direction. Hilarious.

You got a House in Virginia/The only way you sicker than us…

I bought lost tapes on vinyl.

shit is nice. perfect to listen while relaxing with an L.

    ^
wow… i wouldnt mind having that on wax actually… you get it from a store or from a site?

IN Boston we got ughh.com store right here, but you can order online. UGHH as in Underground hip hop. Its worth the extra 2-3 bucks for me over ebay because its new condition and i can pick it up. guys are real nice, call up get a few vinyls, i bet they cut you a deal, and send you the free swag (like everyone does). good site tho, nice threads as well.

    More like pretty great.

Word to God’s Son, the better tracks off Street’s Disciple, Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, and most importantly, The Score.

    4.That silver one???

Couldnt think of the name of it. Its Vol 3. circa 1999-2000 I believe. You kno the single was 6 am joint w B Sieg lol
I mean shit da nigga got 11 I cant remember all the titles my bad.
I was OG Jay Stan(nh) but he got too popular and his song selection got a lil too comercial so I kinda fell back but I did get BP3 not bad.

    ^^^

Yeah, Vol. 3 would be that one, Life & Times of S. Carter.. I wasn’t feeling Jay’s music back then and from what I’ve heard ’round here, that’s not a bad one to skip, even tho’ I went back and copped his other albums. Only 2 I’m missing are Roc La Familia and Dynasty (and BOBW 2, but um, no)

  18. hl Says:

yea i said it…i was thinkin the same thing tho

  21. landlord Says:

    this aint bad

and cosign hl, this WAYYY better than anything Shyne has done… recently OR before jail …

and Bad Boyz was really Barrington Levy’s joint, not Shyne’s…

i always thought Shyne was hella overrated..

cause Puffie’s Bad Boy media machine was so monstrous in they prime, that Combs coulda made stars out of any of us too …

  22. mcb Says:

With soem work/time Jungle maybe coulda done more. I mean just by family passage/growing up, he gets my curiosity, even though obv nothing crazy from what I’ve heard him do. I guess this could go for many artists, well mainly the best.

  23. b-ease Says:

Only 2 I’m missing are Roc La Familia and Dynasty

    ^^
    Same album fam.

Black Rob is top ten storytellers in hiphop history off one LP. *straight face*. Maybe top 5.

  24. kevfrescura de talco Says:

    yo mcb…

you going to the ‘dise’ this saturday to see JE?

  25. b-ease Says:

Yea, he did like half the cuts, and Ronson did the other half.

Ahh, okay. God’s Son is a favorite album of mine, but I can’t deal with “Zone Out”.. Tell you what? Not to kick off the sensitive thug hour, but Olu Dara’s horn part at the end of the “One More Dance” song gives me chills every single time. Not for nothing, but that feeling is just NOT present from new music, and that kinda sucks.

    *old mans it up*

    (nh)

  31. b-ease Says:

Shyne was def overrated as an MC. But his first album is underrated imo. Nothing lyrically crazy at all, just a whole LP of really solid bangers.
