“Straight Outta LA” Animated Pics

Ice Cube’s interview with CNN aired some of the animation, but James Blagden and No Mas worked with Ice Cube on the animated portion of his ESPN 30 for 30 Documentary that airs tonight at 8pm.

Straight Outta LA
Directed by Ice Cube, “Straight Outta LA” it gets into NWA and the LA Raiders, gangsta rap, gang-life, starter jackets, smash mouth football, the LA riots, and the madman/genius Left Coast Steinbrenner of football–Al Davis.

After the jump are three animated vignettes they produced for the film, drawn and animated by James Blagden of Dock Ellis fam.

    Yeah that Doc Ellis on the low is one of the top 10 videos on Youtube; its based on a true story, the dialogue is fucking classic, and the same goes for the art.
