Niggas frontin’…everyone I guarantee had the Country Grammar album
    =============================================
Only heard the singles off that album.

    I did cop Nellyville though.

And why wouldn’t I own a few Ja albums?

Dude had a good run before 50 killed his career.

  2. NESTLE SNIPES Says:

Boosie how you sucking the dick of the nigga that violated you?

    “No offense taken..B-ease”

    Fuck boy

  3. b-ease Says:

    Kick-Ass >>>

    ^^
    Yep.

I knew it was gonna flop tho, the trailers (for TV especially) were fucking awful.

But excellent flick tho, like Spiderman, Superbad, and Taxi Driver mixed with a little bit of Kill Bill.

  4. RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says:

    Had fun talking, later folks.

*daps, Amp, b-ease, VVD, Hopp, etc.*

  5. b-ease Says:

Snoop and Grunge bands pretty much ran MTV in the early 90s.
    =========================================
    This is true.

    ^^
It really is. My MTV memories of 92-95 are Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and Snoop transforming into a doberman.

  6. b-ease Says:

    Peace RNC.

Country Grammar is a classic. Yes it is.
    ==============================
Not to anyone North of St. Louis it ain’t

And Nelly went beyond Pop, doing country records & shit. That shit wasn’t organic, it was calculated.

    Once you crossover, you’re done.

    ^^^^^

Nah, Akon has successfully crossed over from an R&B artist to a EUROPOP star.

    Great breakdown of it’s influences.

Hit-Girl is like a 5 ft version of The Bride lol.

I just wonder how they are gonna get Pt. 2 made since the OG isn’t doing that well ticketsale wise.

This is gonna be one of those joints that becomes a fanboy cult classic.

    Blu-Ray/DVD sales should be crazy.

Akon will never have another hit in the United States. I’ll bet money on it.

Yea, mos def. I’m hoping that will be enough to get a sequel greenlit since the movie only cost like 30 mill. I dont know tho, its still kind of a long shot.

    R&B is different.

And Akon has worn out his welcome with “urban” radio. That last album didn’t get nearly as much radio play as Konvicted.

  12. NESTLE SNIPES Says:

TML is going to be epic.

I cannot wait. Drake might be the Ricky Martin of Rap. But his music undeniable.

  13. AmpGeez a.k.a. Smoke Greene Says:

    Locked Up/Ghetto = Akon’s artistic peak

  15. Beewirks Says:

didnt jay get named recently for having the most top 10 hits, with 17?…and luda is behind him with 16…those numbers are nothing to sneeze at…the article is on billboards website

  16. NESTLE SNIPES Says:

Find your Love Video, the hoes will go crazy.

  17. ridalen Says:

Yall are crazy tryin to judge Jay strictly off of Billboard hits

Em only has one true number one hit in Lose Yourself (I dont count Crack A Bottle) and his penetration into pop culture is undeniable

I remember when TRL didnt have shit but boy bands on it and somehow Big Pimpin was on the countdown. At one point TRL was way bigger than Billboard. Thats called pop penetration. He might not have been as big as Em, 50 or even Nelly at their peaks but its not about the sprint…its about the marathon

  20. ridalen Says:

What the fuck is wrong with crossing over. Kanye, Drake crossed over. Cudi crossed over.

    ^^

the fact that those are the first artists that come to your mind when u think of crossing over….what are you 12?

  21. b-ease Says:

Yea, if its dope. Drake has a bad habit of making horrible videos.

How can you assume that? He has even released a tracklist yet. What if there only 10 tracks. Lets see we already heard 3…shut it down…over…and find your love. Do you consider any of these tracks epic?

  24. Beewirks Says:

*daps bease, ridalen and amp*…i did hear from someone who saw the video that it was crazy..on some street yardie type shit so we shall see…his good video percentage is nil

Includes guest appearances… most of which are on R&B singers songs. Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Foxy Brown, R. Kelly, etc. which actually bolsters my point about how Jay get’s his biggest hits [with already famous singers].

And counting guest appearances, Wayne has 11, Kanye’s got 13, Drake had 4 last year, 50 has 13 [a lot of which are #1-3], Em’s got 11. All of those guy’s have had shorter active careers than Jay.

My initial point remains unharmed, lol.

Yeah but if you look at all of those guys they come with hooks that have legit melodies, even if they are autotuned up.

Drake obviously likes to sing (even if sometimes he shouldnt quite so much), Kanye does the same, Wayne does (Too much imo) and even 50 the bad guy still hits you with some melodies and carries his voice a little. ( The closest jay has come to singing is the beginning of DOA and for 4 seconds on the put on remix. Your right about the help jay gets cause its true he almost always needs someone singing but its also cause jay doesnt really have melodies himself. I think its kinda both ways but thats just me

  34. Macson Escobar Says:

actually jarules career was killed by fifty
but also jarules didnt drop hits and ish
