You don’t have to collaborate with everyone you respect as a person who also happens to perform in a different genre from you. Sade understands this.

I’m still anticipating that Rae/Sade collab though.

Beezy.. with your seemingly unconditional love for extremely excessive weed smoking and bitch chasing, I find it actually hard to believe you dont fuck with Wiz..

Especially since we know your not all about lyrics and shit.. being as your a Cudi stan.. hm

^word, only problem is I don’t like terrible music.

@ Fresh– I think you mean liked “Collision Course” by that rationale.. As for Beach Chair, I think the collabo worked, but that’s just me.

“Take That” is indeed, the greatest adlib ever. As long as you block his gay club adventures out of your mind.

6 of one, half dozen of the other. It has potential to be dope, but I kinda like Sade’s “Here’s another classic, see you in 7 years” style. No overexposure or looking for that collabo that’ll give you crossover appeal, not doing 3,000,000 meaningless internet interviews. Just dropping an album and letting the music speak for itself is a rare and underappreciated quality these days, in my humble.

That. And I thoroughly enjoyed “y-y-yeah WHAT WHAT WHAT!” from Pastor Betha

  12. Beezy Says:

Jim Jones has some pretty hilarious ad libs as well…

    “That’s where you’re wrong” (c) SCC

Ad-Libs in terms of a signature sound to let people know you’re on a track is okay–jada’s laugh, biggie’s UH!, jay-z’s little cough, or Puffy’s gentle adlibs (or his loud LAD adlibs) all add to the song, encouraging the listener

def 2 of the best songs on there. In The Cut was nice 2, especially when listening sky high. Visions uses the same sample MF Doom used on Mad Villain but i 4got which song. Dope beat tho

i cosign the last statement but to agree with what u said in the beginning isnt that what Oj and Gucci do? they say shit that made them recognizable and they are the most recent to do it. Jada etc. been doin it for years which is y i wont mention them

Right, Bamma Ass Bammas.. Jada’s only signature is the laugh, and that’s usually in the beginning or end of a track.

^I’ve only heard bad things about it. It seems like making a mixtape is an art all its own. Very few turn out any good despite the lower standards attached to them.

  43. Rey Says:

@ oh4werd.. Gucci & Jeezy-esque adlibs are different.. They inundate every…single…song. Those other guys have signatures that show up from time to time, they don’t constantly beat (nh) the listeners over their heads with YEEEEEAHHHHHHH or BRRR!

That being said, Jim Jones’ ad libs are the worst. If that stupid fucker could write a decent verse he wouldn’t have to explain everything.

“nightmares (bad dreams) & cold sweats (wet sheets)”.. FOH..
