Confidence is essentially the belief in one’s self, so what does that say about one’s self image?

How many people here know someone who loves Jesus aka way too much aka won’t shut the fuck up about it? I can easily envision people in deprived, violent, uneducated regions (not uneducated as in high drop out rate, uneducated as in acid thrown on the faces of girls who want to go to school), not only using religion as a justification, but having it as motivation to do things also. If something is justified under religion, than it can motivate one to act in that way.

@ Rey I do think it’s more fucked up when someone does something wrong just for the sake of doing something wrong. But society wise, I think it’s worse when practices are widely accepted just because “God warrants this” is employed. Genital mutilation, a history of attacks on knowledge and science, and so much other shit, is and has been encouraged under the motivation and insane security that religion provides.

    ^^^

I concur, but I still don’t think that RELIGION is the problem. Tons of people got killed in the bible, but my friend that goes to Church every week isn’t gonna run out and start killing people.

I think, ultimately, it comes down to the choice that the individual makes.

Every person has an inflated sense of self imo.

Natrually tho since we are the center of our own realities…

The Devil has already walked the planet this millennium..

his name was George. W. Bush Jr

    ^^
Naw, W. was a patsy. Dude did what he was told, and just wasnt a sharp enough cat to know what exactly he was getting into. He never came off like an evil guy to me, in all honesty.

    ^^
    War In Iraq
    War In Afghanistan
Not giving a fuck about Katrina (if you were poor)
Increased spying on civilians online, telecommunications etc
    State sponsored teeerorisuuum
Granting more power to Federal Reserve
Helping plunge us and the world into an economic blackout

I could go on….i agree that he wasn’t the mastermind..but dude had the Executive Order on all them shits.

I’d personally rather be at the center of my own reality than at the outskirts of it.

  17. MK47 Says:

^^That he’s calling someone else gullible when he believes conspiracy bullshit. Obviously Bush capitalized on the attacks, and him, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, Wolfowitz, Perle and the rest (like Bill Kristol) are evil fucks of the purest kind, but none of them are smart enough to plan something of that magnitude. If 9/11 was a master plan by those guys, it sure didn’t work out well for them. None of them have power anymore, none of them control anything, they’re all disgraced, the Middle East is still fucked up, the wars haven’t been won. If they did it, they did it for no reason unless they’re literally demons who thrive on bloodshed.
