Not at all, anyone in hiphop now that seems genuinely talented gets vaullted to the top of dope emcee convos just cause they’re not wack. Jay Elec, JCole, Drake and even my man Ricky Smalls fall into this category. These cats wouldve been dope 12 years ago, but not as highly regarded as they are now.

    ^^^

cosign. niggas recyclin ideas the same way movies do. There’s no originality so rappers tend to do cross/genre things to be more creative. Bandwagoning fucked it up as did the internet. I said this b4 but im sayin if ppls background stories weren’t so important things would be different. Niggas real live dont match the facade they portray

    ^^
I respecfully disagree. I wasnt counting on this album even dropping, much less being dope, but everything I’ve heard so far has been pretty ill. I’m actually looking forward to the LP now.

  9. the-xfacta Says:

I don’t think Nas has really lived up to the potential of his talent but I do have to give him props for this project. A lot of mc’s couldn’t and wouldn’t do this…. And it’s actually gonna be good!

  10. Rey Says:

Nice. I’m looking forward to this album.

LF– Why in the world was Cedric the Entertainer on a Jay-Z song? I mean, Threats was good and all, but why? WHY? Did Jay hear his work on the “Nellyville” skits and decide he was necessary?

I mean, I’m sure I pondered the randomry before, but now that I think about it I’m genuinely baffled. As opposed to Beezy, who’s usually getting BuFu’d. (nh)
