You know what type of issues all people, and especially people of color, are facing today. And I think you have the power to do something about it, if you want to, whether through your writing or down at the Boys and Girls club.

I would love to give back to my community but I’m still working to be in a position where I can say “Look what grinding hard gets you…” and have physical things to show my success.

Word…but I gather that you’re a good father to your daughter from some of your comments. Sometimes, just doing that, even letting your daugther’s little friends see that, is powerful. Because their daddy’s might be non existent or no good, and your very presence in your daugther’s life might spill over in such a way that her little friends might say, “my daddy might be a no good ninja, but I know all black men aren’t like that. Look at Ampette’s daddy…” And 80% of girls who have f’d up relationships with men, you can trace it back to no father figure. It’s not always tangible, fam. Sometimes, it’s being there.

Side note: a lot of us ambitious cats always feel like that we got to do more, be more, or have more before we can really help. It’s the nature of being driven. But you can do a lot right where you are.

Ross got bars, but there is no “Niggas Bleed” or “I Gotta a Story to Tell” anywhere in his future. He will never be able to catch a beat like BIG on “Notorious Thugs” its just not gonna happen. He has found his lane and he excels at it but the BIG comparisons will neve be justified to me.

Comparisons are natural,” Cole told MTV News. “You’re going to compare LeBron to Jordan or [Dwyane] Wade to whoever you compare him to. But in this particular instance, and no disrespect to [Drake’s] opinion, because that’s how he feels, but I feel like it’s too early.

“You can’t call things like that, that early,” he continued. “You can’t say I’m Nas because, look, Nas was in the game for 16 years. What if I’m not here next year? What if you’re not here next year? I don’t think you can say stuff like that this early, but I understand what people are saying. At his status right now, he’s the most talked-about guy in the game. The Nas comparison is like, ‘He gets a little bit beyond the surface,’ but I feel like when it comes to those comparisons, it’s way to early. And you never know, 10 years from now, I could be Jay.”
