oh, I know, word to Andre Young’s Jheri curl. But I never felt like NWA was trying to say that the gangster life was hot. More like, it’s real out there, here’s what’s going on. Compare that to 50…”I got guns the size of Lil Bow Wow”. It’s a
    different energy.

nah man.. look the game hasnt changed very much since nwa… it really hasnt as far as the content goes… rappers are creating a persona and vivid picture of their “situations” shit wont change either..

its all for entertainment like a plethora of people said on the last thread… i take it with a grain of salt and keep it moving…

i READ and travel for my enrichment anyway..

  9. KzA Says:

Joe found autotune and is thinking about adding a packet of splenda to his mixtape (c) Drake

  10. D_Block_4_Life Says:

Like I said (because I swear you niggas either can’t or don’t read), some rappers are good at rapping about their own lives and other rappers are good at rapping about other shit. Either way, I listen to it for the same purpose: enter… fucking… tainment. It’s some niggas out there who rap about their own lives and that shit bores me to tears. It’s niggas that go to college that rap about gun buckin that also bores me. This only boils down to one thing… one word… wanna take a guess what it is?

Would you like to buy a vowel, sir?

What does one say after this?

    *daps all*

Another beautiful day on tap in NY.Got the short sleeeves on flashing my tatts scaring these devils on the job because my professional demeanor is contrary. They swear they got a “safe”negro on their hands but the universal flag on my forearm shows that I “know something”

I saw a bad bitch this morning that made me hate my life.I`m clearly huslting backwards and need to step my broad game up.There are some baaaadddd bitches out here in the world.

  16. Joe 88 Says:

I’m listening to some older stuff I did (4 walls instrumental), and while I dig it, i’m thinking about who’s gonna wanna listen to this, what audience is gonna gravitate towards this music. And on the other hand, I I think about some of the new stuff I made (gangster music) and I think about the reactions I got from my block dudes when I let them hear it, while they love it, they also love “pills got me jigging” and other non sense like that

It feels like i’m sacrificing one side of me for the other. I wanna make more “4 walls” but I wanna actually appeal to someone other than one type of listener
