Video: Kanye West – Street Lights (Fanmade)

This is like the 5th fan-made video we’ve posted (of this song alone) but apparently this one in particular got the thumbs up from Mr. West himself (via his cousin Tony Williams) and 88-Keys likes it too.

Update: This is actually the video for Tokyo/Glow by The Generic Man.

that iteration does not rhyme with “grass”

  3. PHENOMENON Says:

Blueprint 2 and Last Real Nigga Alive are also dope. they’re more honest and fittingly closed the book on the beef.

    ^ ^
    I think this is true.

In the end I think everyone won with that battle. Jay, Nas, and the fans. Nas more-so, of course, but Jay did well. I’m sure we all thought Nas was dead with “Takeover” and “BP2” was solid.

To me it’s deffinately the illest battle of all time.

^ I don’t kill soloists, only kill squads

you know what, Nas was going at a bunch of people at the same time, and came out winning. He was colliding with some of the giants of hip hop…like he said, he collided with people that “can make your career stop/all that and I’m still here and I’m still hot”

The last person to go at entire squads like that, basically solo, was Pac.

    Joe Budden – Hello Expectations.

    Joey demolished that track.

  6. Fresh Huxtable Says:

Yeah, agree with Phenomenon–everybody won, including Jay, and definitely the fans. The only loss fans really took was all these lesser rappers watching Jay and Nas and then just starting random beefs as a way to stimulate record sales

    impossible. They’re both still alive.

    that video was amazing

I remember the reaction to ether and a lot of the positive response was a result from shock that Nas responded. I know people loved that Nas called Jay a punk and a faggot but I always preferred ‘takeover’ because it sounds like he’s having an intervention with him like “fam we love you but you’ve been fuckin up and you need to get your shit straight”

  11. Nah Right » Common - Testify (88-Keys Remix) Says:

[…] Of Adam last year, 88-Keys is still a producer at heart. While we discussed the shitstorm that was this fan-made video for “Street Lights,” he reminded me about this remix he made for Common’s song […]
