I don’t remember the name. I knew 50 wouldn’t respond to it though.

I think Nas sent AZ after 50. “Royal Salute” is icewater.

  7. PHENOMENON Says:

    Yes, thats the song.

when I heard it I got a little excited. [That’s what she said]

Nas would dismantle 50 in the end. I think Nas catches a lot of flack from people for a variety of reasons but when he needs to go in. . .

  8. Charles Oakley Says:

you’re starting to sound like a loser. And I don’t like losers. Are we crystal?!?!?!

the irony of this comment is off the charts

  9. PHENOMENON Says:

I didn’t really care for “Nas Is Coming” either. I thought it was ok but I usually skip it.

I never felt like waiting so long for that song to start. I don’t really like it too much to begin with. The intro to it is way too much for me to beare.

one reason being his catalog. its like the record biz makes him lazy and uninspired at times but once niggas talk shit he powers up. i guess thas that golden era effect cause it seems he’ll focus and really murder niggas unda his pen.

bricktop came into the nah on some emo shit, didnt get enough attention, and now has switched his flow up to boosie-levels of wackness. commenters like you always sound as if they are trying too hard to be thought of as cool…and they need to try harder.

The intro was supposed to show east/west unity, which seemed to be the purpose of the collab.

yeh, its definitely filler status, still kinda dope lyrically though

you just come across as someone who really wants people to read their comments and then respond to them. like you sit their hitting refresh every 5 seconds. whatever, if its not true then it shouldnt bother you. i dont know you, im just some stranger…

He just loves the attention. 50 needs to focus on having people like him for him instead of who he’s talking about.

Sure people like him for who he is but who is he really as an artist?? The guy who constantly talks about other dudes to garner attention for himself?? Maybe.

He has tallent and should rely on that more often.

  26. Charles Oakley Says:

commenters in search of more attention usuallly have one of three routes they can take to receive said attention 1) become a stan for a specific artist or record label 2) become the hypergay/weirdo commenter, or 3) become the fake tough guy.

  27. Charles Oakley Says:

that UK hip hop stan had me rollin tho. switchin up names and cosignin himself…

  28. PHENOMENON Says:

    So I’m #2, right??

  29. Bricktop Says:

@Oakley – truth be told, you’re somewhat correct. I do tend to resort to juvenile behavior every so often. Word to the wise: don’t take anything I say remotely serious when I’m in jitbag mode. When in jitbag mode, I typically go for the quickest/cheapest laugh. Furthermore, the only time I come out of jitbag mode is when a topic is raised that I feel is worth serious discussion. Otherwise, it’s all cheap thrills for me.

and FTR, jitbags refresh often. Maybe not every 5 seconds, but often.

little brother is an even worse hit because they were one of the first internet sensational groups. being that this is the premiere platform for artists to get their weight up they should of led the charge. i think when they dropped the minstrel show they alienated a lot of those fans that put them there and 9th just kept it moving w/his production prospects.

i agree with you to an extent, but i read it a little differently. i loved both the listening and the minstrel show—in fact, you know how the listening was a day in the life of a radio station? A day on a tv station was the next step. And they didn’t really have that kind of high concept for Getback. I think some of it stemmed from the fact that 9th didn’t want to tour. On the one hand, i really feel Phonte because, hey, 9th is part of the group, right? At the same time, 9th is kind of a laid back guy, and we know that. And it’s not like Kanye travels with Jay to stand up on stage and play a beat.

3000 wanted to stop touring, and somehow, Outkast was able to make it work and deliver a diamond selling album. I don’t know. I just hate to see brothers fall out. Especially when LB is one of my favorite hip hop groups ever. The Listening seems to get better every time I hear it.
