    BP2 > Ether

If it wasn’t for that austin powers bullshit hook the song would really undeniably be > Ether

But to me the bars >>>>>>>>>>> ether bars and the beat too….that’s just me…do you know how ill that beat is???

    Land

Even if you did interpret the bars as crying, errthing was true. Ether was a lot of allegations but Ether was still very ill.

  2. Shooter Says:

superugly was definitely Jay’s best punch …
    ^^^

word it would have won it, but Nas had already painted him as an emotional mysoginist etc so it just ended up working in Nas’ favour, Ether was checkmate

  3. hl Says:

when jay made superugly he shouldn’t have apologized.

^This. I mean if he wouldn’t have admitted defeat, fans could probably argue whether who won. But between him crying on BP2 and that Angie interview, its not even a debate. You know Ether hurt that nigga.

    word. ether was ghetto spurious.

  5. lil mane young Says:

Cormega was saying this in some interview. How Nas strategically painted Jay out to hate women. lol He might be right though.

State Prop vs. D-Block >>>> Jay-Z vs. Nas

  11. D_Block_4_Life Says:

Shittt i rather listen to the BP2 instrumental than Ether the song.

  12. landlord Says:

what was a lie in Ether?

    Jay isnt ugly?

Jay didnt hop from dickride to dickride (kane to irv to BIG)?

jay doesnt have whiskers like a rat?

russell simmons and rick rubin didnt run def jam?

    what were the lies?

    lol

  16. landlord Says:

    Jasy doesnt love the attention?

  17. kevfrescura de talco Says:

SPs r&b feature game fell off. i swear that nigga launch padded akons career and him and kiss gave j-lo her street cred.

  18. landlord Says:

    jayz > jasy

^It took me a second to get that one. Clever.

  20. Fresh Huxtable Says:

I applaud Jay and Nas, because that was heavyweight. I mean, after I heard Takeover, I was sure it was a wrap for Nas. The beat was fire, and then just having the “four albums in ten years” line really was strong. A lot of Nas fans felt that way. It’s hard to live up to an Illmatic. I give any rapper props who comes in the game with a classic and then makes another one. It’s difficult. I give Jay credit for waking up a sleeping giant, because Nas has been better post Takeover than he was pre-takeover on average, with the exception of Illmatic.

  21. landlord Says:

    *lies in Ether*

jayz is NOT wack compared to Sigel…

i have never read anywhere that Rockerfeller died of AIDS…

  22. Charles Oakley Says:

you know what, Nas was going at a bunch of people at the same time, and came out winning. He was colliding with some of the giants of hip hop…like he said, he collided with people that “can make your career stop/all that and I’m still here and I’m still hot”
    ^^
Nas was in idontgiveafuck mode and had the talent to back it up. i wish he wouldve really went at 50 when he was sending shots.

  23. PHENOMENON Says:

“Can’t you see that he’s fake?? The rap version of T.D. Jakes. Prophesizing on your CD’s and tapes.”

“Won’t break you off a crumb off the little bit that he makes. . .and this whom you all place your faith??”

    I liked that line.

nope. It Was Written was crack rock front to back. I dont know what albums Jay thought was ehhh.

  25. Charles Oakley Says:

    Nas is Coming is trashdookie

  26. Chris Cash Says:

I like BP2 but i do feel it should have been used with a different supject matter cuz the beat is epic. T

  27. kevfrescura de talco Says:

    what were the lies?

    ^

    that he was 36.
that he didn’t have a tec. large pro confirmed he did.
    him not stabbing un.
    him not selling drugs.

  28. Shooter Says:

i have never read anywhere that Rockerfeller died of AIDS…

i heard, there was a rapper called Rockerfeller who died of AIDS and its a reference to him?? that may or may not be true…

truly, truly. Nas would have killed 50, but 50 was hoping that a 50/Nasir beef would have elevated him like it did for Nas and Jay

“10 years in the game, after I’ve enjoyed my fame, only then I let you pick my brain”

Me too, but then he followed that with that with talking about giving to 9-11 and Columbine. Jay lost me with that.

this was crying … plain as day…

why he so worried about public perception, after the fact?… because he lost, thats why …

and public losses are very embarrassing …

funny how every last former Roc artist says the same about Jay. Even Memph admitted like a month ago that he’s STILL waiting on the money that Jay claimed he gave Bleek back on his “Diamonds Are Forever” verse.

  35. Chris Cash Says:

BP2 most definitely deserves a, You Mad?
