    ^
I can’t even call it. Beans had some great music and albums, and I think some of that is due to outstanding production. I didnt really listen to Styles solo stuff too much, but he did have “I’m Black.” Who was doing that on the mainstream level at that time? The drugs and gunplay is a movie, but it takes something extra to deliver a message. Truth be told, both of them still got it.

  60. The Killer Says:

Styles had a message in his music. Beans had syrup in his system. Do the math.

  61. Joe 88 Says:

Beans solo albums and Public Enemy mixtape > Gangster and a Gentlemen and the Ghost mixtapes

^I totally agree with your first comment, but this one kinda got me tied up, I co-sign, but by a slight margin, cause ghost & the machine & ghost in a shell was both classics imo. I’ll say this

    Beans albums > Styles albums

Ghost mixtapes/Beans public enemy & best of beans >>>>>>>>>

While I love styles mixtapes, I just remember hearing public enemy in 04′ and thinking “i’ve listen to this whole mixtape and haven’t heard a wack bar or song yet” you know a mixtape good when you listen to it and don’t have a favorite song off top cause all of them are dope. And his best of beans mixtape that came out BEFORE his first album, wooooooooo, I was seconds away from just giving him the crown w/o a retail album, 1000 bars, who ya wit freestyle, 456, dead man walking w/ dutch & spade, sheeeesh, now i’m mad, I wanna just haul off and slap the shit out of beans, talk about potiential wasted, smh. He still delivered classic, so I can’t be that mad

  62. Jersey*made*me Says:

  63. Joe 88 Says:

it’s a bad look, no doubt. But I’ve seen some stuff that might suggest beans was a pretty loyal dude. At the same time Jay says that Beans was driving two Bentleys and put his mom in a house in the sticks, and he was doing that without having ever gone platinum. If true, that’s a valid point.

In either case, Beans needs to fall back off the drugs and leave the Jay stuff alone. If he makes good music, his fanbase is still there. Look at Freeway.

The deal with Jackson’s estate is even more remarkable because it does not include royalties from merchandise

Jackson’s most lasting and valuable asset is the 50 per cent stake in Sony/ATV Music Publishing, a company that owns publishing rights to music by The Beatles and numerous other artists, including Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan. The copyright catalogue is estimated to be worth $2 billion.
