Video: Invincible – “Palestine” Freestyle

Pardon the title, I didn’t know what else to call it. Detroit MC Invincible spits a freestyle touching on the Palestinian/Israeli territorial conflict while down in Austin for SXSW 2010.

Footage courtesy of Davey D.

UPDATE: I’ve been informed/reminded that it’s actually called “The Emperor’s Clothes”, which I know, but didn’t recognize because I’m shot.

People and countries do care, but the right-Jewish lobby in the U.S and the universal strength of the Moussad is too paramount to allow the right-Isreali movement to be contained.

God bless the people of Palestine.

you people are all ignorant idiots. read a f*cking history book before you comment. First of all, israelis were displaced from the land before it was ever palestine. and for years israelis and palestinians lived side by side until palestine tried to kick them out, Again. Then, like every other piece of land in the world, the territory was one through violence. Israel has continued to offer land to the Palestinians but since they cant handle the simple fact of the matter, they use violence instead, and like any logical person, israel responds in defense. and what you call an offensive strike, its fucking preventive from future attacks. if you are fine with your government harboring known terrorist leaders then your a moron and deserve to be blown up. Read a history book that wasn’t published in Iran or Lebanon.

^ there’s no such thing as “preventive defense”. i can’t shoot you today, say you might have killed me next month, and use that as a valid claim of self-defense. what you’re describing is an offensive strike, period.

as for this quote: “for years israelis and palestinians lived side by side until palestine tried to kick them out,” you might want to read a history book yourself. the jewish people spread around the world, of course, but there is no historical evidence that the palestinians were preventing their right of return. jewish people have lived in palestine for centuries. the difference is, now israelis are dictating where palestinians can live on holy land they once shared.

ps: and as for this quote “if you are fine with your government harboring known terrorist leaders then your a moron and deserve to be blown up” the u.s. government has harbored terrorists, including Luis Posada Carriles who allegely blew a cuban airliner out of the sky and who the u.s. has refused to extradite to cuba to stand trial. by your logic, should the u.s. be bombed? ridiculous….

This chick’s got a sick freestyle, but she obviously doesn’t know anything about what’s really going on with the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. She should be ashamed of herself.

@spirit equality: Israel isn’t “dictating” where Palestinians can live. Palestinians are welcome to live anywhere in Israel, and always have been. Israel pulled completely out of the Gaza Strip in 2004 so that Palestinians could move into it and establish their own state, as they have been claiming to want to do ever since Israel’s existence. But, no Palestinian state was established, and instead Hamas was elected as the governmental power in Gaza and since then Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip have been shelled on a pretty much daily basis. Israel was acting in self-defense with Operation Cast Lead; they went into the Gaza Strip in order to stop Hamas from any further shelling. You could indeed say it was in preventive measures, but since Hamas had been bombing Israel for years past, there was a 100% certainty that they would have continued to do so had Israel not intervened (in fact, towns near the Strip are still being shelled, but not as frequently.)

And, as for your second point, Israel is not “dictating” where Palestinians can live; Palestinians are and have been welcome to live anywhere in Israel, and there is an enormous Palestinian-Israeli population. As I said above, the Gaza Strip was intended as a state for the Palestinians upon the demand of the Palestinians themselves.

You definitely need to read a proper history book.
