Diggy’s vocab is worse than mine when I was 14.

And why is anyone ever surprised when rappers sound like they can read? THEY MAKE MONEY BY WRITING POETRY. THEY SHOULD READ.

^^^^ it’s funny. those are the ones that stood out to me, too. i guess they showed maturity or some shit. or maybe they stood out from all the cat in the hat/mother goose shit he was spittin’ in around those lines. he has a decent palette to work with as far as skills right now. not feeling the extra rhyming with the words for no damn reason, but he’s young. now all he has to do is learn to write like he’s doing a thesis or some shit, and not how to do a thousand bar verse that all rhymes with E (c) dennis coles.

    i’m not mad at young’n…

Diggy is just an idol for kids in their early teens to worship. Just a tool to eliminate the weak links.

  12. cuban b Says:

the days of true lyricism are gone.i actually heard dudes saying crooked is the weak link in slaughterhousewhen its obvious that hes the goat member.most of the dudes i grew up listening to were horrible songwriters and they still got props for having a mean pen game.there are so many other factors involved now.

  13. CZ Says:

Whoever said crooked is the weak link should be smacked. Crooked is nice as hell and thats coming from a north dude

  14. Rockabye Says:

    ^

Yeah, but Slaughterhouse has proven that lyricism is not equal to songwriting ability. The best Slaughterhouse tracks are still just glorified freestyles, except for, say, “The One,” which has a great thematic conceit, and “Move On (Remix),” which is just fantastic.

  16. cuban b Says:

i hear alot of canibus jokes also, and thats the only rapper i ever thought i could never be better than.canibus is the only rapper who can kill a verse with no multi syllable rhymes.

  17. cuban b Says:

its unfair to judge rappers on songwriting ability when most rappers dont write their own songs.im sure on most of jayz ‘s biggest hits, the hooks were not written by him.empire state of mind for example was already done when given to him(his highest charting single to date).can i get was ja rules, you see where i’m going with this.

  18. CZ Says:

My cousin wrote second verse to song cry, not a big deal but true story
