    @ Jerz

If I gave you a pen and a pad, just based on your writing on Nah, I bet you could pen a dope 16, with ill metaphors, and some jewels.

You could NOT write a hit song. On my mama.

    I see it

But if it wasnt hard to make hit records, EVERYONE would be making hits

As backwards as it seems, its harder to come up with an infectious melody than it is to come up with ill bars

I personally know of a cat who sold 140,000 copies of a regional single and made 70 cents
    on each one.

I’m not opposed to making silly music, I make it now. But i don’t want my family to have to be ashamed of me.

Because most people have never attempted to, or even know what it is to try & craft a song

LOL this rap game is fuckin bananas. Jay Elec can spit complex bars that make your head spin on some amazing thought provoking life changing shit……..then a muthafucka like Wocka Flocka can do some sing along shit and HE gets the masses behind him???? Dam. Hip hop lost. The knowledge/teaching aspect of the culture is hangin on by a thin thread and dudes like Wocka are bout to snap that shit

ehh, I disagree. Extending the logic, should family be proud of the drug dealer or the daughter that’s a porn star? Self respect
and doing the right thing is more important than caking up. I don’t want to be somebody who makes music that poisons kids, real real talk.

a hit record in these days means making a song simple minded niggas can bop to anything that might requires thought ,inspiration or positivity is considered corny contributed by the dumbing down of the black race and society as a whole
